A great selection of craft beers domestic and imports. They have a small homebrew section that sells a decent amount of stuff but I still order most of my stuff online. The one thing I would watch out for is old beer that isn't supposed to be aged sitting on the shelf for years. I bought a four pack of Sam Smith Nut Brown that had definitely gone bad. However I found some 18% beers from '07 which was exciting! Be weary of old beers that aren't good old but other than that the place is great for picking up stuff you haven't tried.

I have found this to be one of the better Liqour barns in the area. I frequent it for the homebrew section. It also has a decent selection of craft beers which continues to grow. I do feel like the focus on wine more than beer which is not unexpected but it is not a beer only store. The prices for the beer are reasonable the only qualm I have as far as prices go is the larger craft beers that you can get at the grocery are always more expensive here. But the selection cannot be beat for the area. There is definately not a big competition for craft beers in the area.

On a short visit to Lexington I decided to do some beer shopping for a few things to try that were not going to be available in PA. Based on the Beerfly reviews and their website the Liquor Barn chain seemed to be very very well stocked. This one was conveniently located and so in I went.
There was a remarkable range of beer available both from near by states and across the country. A huge number of them could be purchased by the six pack either off the shelf or from the very large number of coolers in the back of the store.
In addition they had a small shelf of singles you could use to make up a mixed six pack. They even had a section of a couple of shelves where they put singles that were discounted to sell because of how long they'd been around.
Eventually I pulled myself away from just looking, found the local beer I'd been looking for, and carried it to the counter for checkout.
I can't really say much about the service as this visit was pretty much like going into any large variety store and I neither needed any help nor was I offered any.

This is the place of choice to obtain brews. They have a decent selection of beer and spirits. On occasion its nice to pick up some food from thier selection of imported cheeses and such. The walk in cooler has a vast selection and the "beer wall" has even more. For the homebrewer there are supplies near the back.
The quality is good. They usually get in a nice selection of fresh beers and the traffic is high enough that it USUALLY isnt on the shelf long. I had a bad run in with a celebrator way past drink date.
The service is good, although the check out lanes are really odd. They kind of stand in the way and its an awkward exchange.
The selection is fabulous and seems to continue to grow. Tasting different beers has become quite the achievable hobby with a location like this and my friends and I are forever in debt.
Overall an almost weekly stop.

This is the store I think that people should focus on. The hamburg store runs out of the good stuff while this store has it, but the rare releases are always around. For this region there's a huge elections of beers. Imports, crafts etc. Exceptional store.
The people working there will try to help at times. Often I don't hear a peep other times 3-4 people ask me if I need help. It's random, but they seems to try. Clearly the time of day and what the staff is doing matters.
When I have a question they are always quick to get an answer and for the most part responsive. That said wine and spirits take up a bit more of their time than we beer folks would like.

A very big selection of high quality beer in a big box retail format similar to the Party Source, et al. There almost unlimited numbers of beers represented here and singles are encouraged. A large number of checkout lanes keep things moving and the floor help is obvious and willing to help in any way possible. Good sized, busy parking lot and near the inner belt (Rt. 4).

Wow! My brothers took me here while visiting them in Lexington. Huge place with lots of beer, wine, and liquor, plus a selection of party items, etc. Clearly one-step shopping if you're planning a party. Massive selection of beer - one of the biggest I've seen. Many coolers and shelves of six- and four-packs. I saw Founder's (including a huge stack of Kentucky Breakfast Stout!), Bell's, New Holland, Three Floyds, Great Divide, Dogfish Head, all sorts of stuff. I barely had a chance to glance over the selection and felt like I only scratched the surface.

This was the first liquor store I stopped at in kentucky and I was really impressed with the amount of craft brew they had available. Their policy of breaking up any 6 pack into individual bottles for exactly a sixth of the price is absolutely unheard of where im from and something that is an extreme plus. I wasn't approached by any employees but then again, I didn't really need any help so it's hard to rate the service based on my visit. Absolutely huge store packed full of (almost) any liquor, beer and wine you could want. A must stop in lexington if you're looking to pick up some bottles.

This Liquor Barn is similar to the other one in Lexington, but this one has growler selections, and a few different brews that the other one doesn't have (and vice versa). They also have homebrew supplies, which the other one doesn't have, and if you're a member of our homebrew club (BOCK), you get 10% off homebrew supplies! There are many fine micros and imports to choose from, both in the cooler and sitting out. Just like the other liquor barns, you can grab a single out of any six pack, they don't mind a bit. It's encouraged even! They have a small amount of glassware and homebrewing equipment as well. The only thing about their service that I have a real gripe about is that they will only fill growlers when the deli is open, so go earlier in the day if you want one. Overall, a great place to get great beer, and in a fairly good location right off New Circle Road & Harrodsburg Rd.

Outstanding. Huge selection of liquors (great for local bourbons), very nice wine selection(unusually good South America collection, with some unusual high end and affordable Chilean) and a nice selection of regional and national beers, with decent international and macro selections as well. There is a good wall of cold beer along the back wall. Decent selection of bombers (though bit heavy on the Rogue. A huge section of gourmet food (some local, but mostly not) and stuff for parties. Good selection of sodas and non alcoholic drinks, including some gourmet sodas. Prices are good.
