A: Very pale straw, bright and clear, a few lazy bubbles rise to the medium-large, stark white cap of foam that falls quickly & leaves just a of splats of lace.

S: Floral sweetness blends into floral/grassy & lemony hops. A bit of a grainy & doughy wheat malt background. Aroma is decent, but lacking in roundness & depth, a bit stretched, and low on strength.

T: Like the nose – more floral than honey. But it does play a pleasant and central roll. Softly sweet rather than cloying, and with a fair light honey flavor. Base beer is more of a light , macro lager than a wheat beer. A bit of crackery malt and husky grain. Some lemony citrus hops that turn grassy in the finish with soft bitterness. It has a hint of a bite, but this is so minimal that it could easily be just some carbonic acid from the carbonation.

M: Medium-light with carbonation well matched. Smooth & refreshing. Slightist tart hint up front with a bit of a soapy impression at the finish (particularly as it warms). Manages to stay semi-sweet throughout.

D: A light summer thirst solution. Not all that different from macro swill. Floral honey sweetness and lemon hops don’t really work well together, and – along with the appearance- contribute to a diluted, honey-sweetened shandy impression.

Poured from bottle, enjoyed from glass.

A: A nice clear, pale, yellow color.

S: Light scent with the slightest hint of citrus.

T: Refreshing taste overall. A small draw of honey with a trace of lemon peel mix with a pleasant tasting wheat-beer taste.

M: The hops make the tongue water and wash to a dry mouth-feel. Very crisp hit on the initial sip.

Overall: This beer is a lovely summertime brew. I prefer this over Summer Shandy, Leinenkugel's "summertime" beer because this contains far less fruit and is not sweetened nearly as much. If the price is right and the weather is warm, try a few of these.

Appearance - Very clear, light yellow. Head is quick to dissipate.
Smell - Like a Miller light with a sweet note...not impressive
Taste - Drinkable, summer cutting grass type...that you want to guzzle down. No honey aftertaste and you cannot taste any wheat.
Mouthfeel - carbonated.
Overall - would not buy again.

Pours a clean pale yellow, with a white head. In the aroma, wheaty and sweet to dry honey. In the taste, lemon citrus, a wheat like bite, and rounded out with honey flavors of clove. A small bite and a lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a small dry wheat and clove like aftertaste. Looks more like a pils, kind of thin and domestic like.

A friend brought this over to watch the first half of the BCS National Championship. I drank one but sat down to drinkn another after he left to seriously review it. Poured from a bottle into a weizen glass

Appearance - Poured a totally transparent pale yellow with a respectable head which quickly exited stage left. No sign of lacing. Carbonation came from the bottom to the head for some time after the pour.

Smell - Light grain, a sweetness which could be described as honey.

Taste - Similar to smell. There is a sweetness to the brew, but it doesnt really feel much like honey. Just a sugary, fruity sweetness. Not much in the way of a weizen taste. Lager like in taste

Mouthfeel - Moderately crisp finish. Certainly not as crisp as a super cold adjunct lager, but moreso than a heavy weizen. Good carbonation

Overall - Not a bad beer. It could be refreshing on a hot day, better than something really heavy like a hefeweizen for a day like that. You an certainly tell its filtered, because it comes out like a lager in appearance and finish. I wouldn't recommend it, but wouldn't turn one down given the right situation.

Poured from their 12oz bottle...

Appearance - poured a half finger of brite white foam, dissipated in a minute. Color was a lite transparent yellow/gold.

Smell - sweet white or wheat bread, apples, pears.

Taste - apples, pears, minerals and slight white grapes. I get an almost fruity sweetness, but I personally don't get anything that distinguishes honey from this.

Mouthfeel - light and fairly high carb, brite and nearly metallic feel from carb crispness.

Overall - Looks to me like a lite lager in appearance. The flavors in the taste could be nice, but are thin and watery, and are quickly scrubbed from the palate with higher crisp carb. I picked up some of the alcohol in this session and was left a bit head-achy. This might taste pretty refreshing after mowing the lawn on a warm summer day. Seems to miss the style a bit for me, can't recommend this one.

This beer pours a clear pale yellow color with a thin layer of bubbled bright white head. There is really no head retention to speak of and no lacing left behind.

the aroma is basic. Pale toasty grain, bread, and a light sweetness. Very similar to an adjunct lager.

The taste is boringly unpleasant. Not much here really. A touch of sweetness is available, some toasty grain as well. A very poor show.

The mouthfeel is thin, watery, and highly carbonated with a large bubble that provides a nice tingle on the finish.

Overall it's a lawnmower beer. Best straight from the bottle when you just want a no think beer. The flavor profile is so mild in nature it feels as though you're drinking a perrier at times.

A: Clear yellow with a one-finger head. Died fast but has a good amount of lacing.

S: Grainy malts and wheat. A tiny hint of honey.

T: Very wheaty with a tiny bit of sweet honey.

M: Decent amount of carbonation with a clean finish. A medium body thanks to the trace amount of honey flavor which seems to thicken the beer by a small amount. A little watery nonetheless.

O: Easy to drink, clean finish, one of the more fuller-bodied Kristalweizen's but was still a little too watery. Overall a good beer with common flaws, so compared to others, one of the better ones.

Very clear and light golden color. Two fingers of starch white foamy head settled quickly into a thin soapy film. No lacing.

The nose has small hints of banana and a grainy malt profile.
The flavor is a dose of the same, but with a sweet aftertaste... In fact, the beer is too sweet. The overall flavor reminds me of sweetened cereal grains.

The body is thin, very thin. Very bubbly. This is practically Miller Lite in nearly all aspects.

Overall... Well, after not having one of these for 7 or 8 years, I can pmfortably say that I will go at least double that before reaching for another (except in those dire situations, perhaps at a BBQ?!)

This beer is not okay with me. I like a sweet beer, but this is over the top sweet for me. I really felt like i was drinking a bud lager with a couple of tablespoons of honey stirred in. I have to place the beer on the low. I hope to try a better beer from old Jacob soon. So stayed tune.

The guys on my hockey team really like the Leinenkugels beers. So they recently brought the Honey Weiss to our recent game. The Leinie's Honey Weiss was very thin, weak aroma, flavor and mouthfeel. There is honey present and also a toasted wheat flavor. But you're really straining to get either - comes out mostly in the aftertaste. This beer's just about as thin as any light lager - has a bit of a bitter, corny taste to it as well. It's okay drinking on a hot day, I'm sure, but don't look for much dazzlement on your tongue.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a hint of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that left some lacing on the surface and a thin ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light aromas of wheat and grainy malts in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of wheat along with hints of bready malts.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is easy to drink and has more flavors compared to other kristalweizens.

kind of looks and feels like a Budweiser defiantly has a little more flavor and the honey after taste is a pleasant surprise , there is nothing special as far as appearance really looks like a miller lite or bud , has a decent head but dissipates quickly leaving no lacing If this beer was a little cheaper I wouldn't mind throwing these down to get a good buzz on or maybe grab 9 for a game of golf but besides that these aren't as crafty as they may appear

Looks absolutely jewel clear with a pale straw color, big fluffy head that stops by briefly to say hello and than vanishes in only a minute, without any lacing at all... Smells exceedingly faintly of pale wheat malt and a little tiny bit of honey, I am severely disappointed because I have smelled (and tasted) stronger honeyed nuances off other beers that don't even have the word in their name, nor include it in the brewing!
Tastes like it smells, faint weak wheat with a whisper of barely-there honey. It also has a watery thin body, which is refreshing as a summer thirst quencher, and the carbonation is quite appropriate...crisp and clean finish...I just wish there was more flavor in it. I believe that it is a good lawnmower beer, at least it is better than a BMC, but really mostly only by the virtue of not having any strange off-flavors.

Drank out of a bottle at a state park in South Dakota. Color was a fair light golden. Head and film/lacing - N/A.

Smelled heavy of honey, but not as strong as you’d think with the name. Slight malt or wheat in there, too.

Honey dominate on the tastes, but average overall. Nothing else really stood out.

Highly carbonated. Surprisingly refreshing.

Pretty average overall. Actually, just below it. I did have another one later in the week and it tasted a bit better, but I think my ratings will stick.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass.

Appearance: Clear straw golden yellow with lots of bubbles. Huge four finger white head with very good retention and lacing.

Smell: Grains, wheat, and pale malts with some light hints of citrus and honey. Aroma is very light with the honey being very subtle. The wheat kind of smells like a Hefewiezen wheat with a very subtle hint of banana.

Taste: Tastes like it smells. Lots of sweet pale malts and grains with wheat and subtle hints of citrus, banana, and honey. Everything is pretty light but noticeable and fairly balanced.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with a medium to high carbonation. Very crisp and smooth.

Overall: A very light but fairly tasty brew best had in the summer.

Pours a crystal clear pale golden color with a big thick head which stays around. The aroma is of grains and sweet malt, there is not a lot going. The aroma is faint and hard to get. The taste is much the same grainy with a hint of sweet malt and a touch of honey. The taste seems closer to an adjunct than a kristal. The taste is muted and hard to identify. The mouthfeel is well carbonated and crisp. Overall it is okay I probably wouldn't have this one again. The taste and aroma just weren't there.

This beer has a very clear straw color. Too clear for wheat beer if you ask me. It did however have a decent head on it.

There wasn't much of a aroma to the beer. It had a slight fruity aroma, but nothing else. No Malt. No Honey. No Wheat.

This was the worst part of the beer. It tasted too much like a mass market, thin, watered down beer than it did a craft beer. There was very little malt flavor and that's about it.

Very thin, light mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation.

This beer is not really a good beer. The only thing I would recommend this beer for is possibly a transition beer. People just getting off mass market beers may be interested in this. I would not recommend it to anyone else and I won't be drinking this beer again.

The beer pours a very pale golden color--almost anemically so--but had a nice cap of foam. The aroma is an admixture of lightly toasted malt and honey. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. The beer goes down easy, but the sweetness from the honey becomes a bit much more my tastes. The beer is a little light through the center and finishes with not more than a whimper.

I have finally reached the end of the summer sampler pack.

Poured this one out of a 12oz can pretty quickly into a regular old pint glass.

A) The quick pour resulted in a nice inch of head, but it was gone in a hurry. The beer was a pale yellow.

S) Light grains and a bit of honey sweetness. Nothing offensive.

T) It's like a light beer with a hint of honey. I mean, you pick up a trace amount of honey, but I'm not sure about the Weiss. It doesn't taste bad.

M) A fairly light bodied beer. It's decent for warm weather, as it is pretty crisp and refreshing.

O) This is okay. If you're at a summer get together, and this one is on the top layer of ice in the cooler... Well, I say dig to the bottom and hope for the best.

A big shout out to woodychandler for yet another canned beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pale yellow color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of wheat and grains, a touch of honey. Taste is also big on the wheat, some honey is present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent brew.

The fact that I've seen advertisements for this beer was a big turn off for me. ALL of the beers I've seen ads for have turned out to be complete duds. This was no different.

Appearance was "kristal" clear, no head. Smelled of nothing really. You could tell a slight hint of the honey and weiss that is mentioned in the beer's name. Nothing more.

Taste was much of the same. Watery and flavorless. I would compare this more with an adjunct macro than to a filtered hefe.

Not a good beer at all in my opinion. Pass.

12oz can poured into a Weizen glass
A: Banana yellow, thick two finger head. Nice bubbles.
S: Honey and bananas.
T: Wheaty malt with subtle honey.
M: Smooth and mellow. Nice, easy to drink beer.
O: Nothing out of this world, but very solid. What it lacks in complexity it more than makes up in being a straightforward easy to drink beer, which sometimes is all you ned.
