A: Pours out a beauitful peachy gold colour. Has a beautiful cream coloured head which is complex and comprises various small bubbles. Poured straight into the middle and after a couple of minutes there's not much head but what's left remains for the duration.
S: Caramel and fruit. Strikes me as smelling like Bassett's Fruit Allsorts, which is quite unreal.
T: An even mix of strong sweetness and bitterness, woodyness, a touch of liquorishness and a tropical fruit which is either mango or guava. Very balanced, silky smooth.
M: It's hard to describe the carbonation but this is truly the silkiest, smoothest beer I've ever had.
O: An English strong ale which is exceedingly smooth and well balanced.

Oh my word! This is very strong but unlike many strong beers it's not a sumo wrestler in a tutu. There is a lorry load of honey nut oaty caramel lushness spread over Granny's homemade fresh baked bread. Warm marmalade and hot cuddles. These flavours are powerful yet subtle and balanced the alcohol isn't just there for numbers but adds to the symphony and helps carry those heavy flavours. These brewers are artists and should be celebrated as such. The Tate gallery should have a Fuller's exhibition.
B G Score 97/100.

500ml bottle served in a London Pride pint glass.
A: Pours a deep orange to amber color. Clear. Forms a big creamy and bubbled yellow head. Good retention and tons of lacings formed and left in the glass
S: Sweet and toffee with touchs of grapes. Caramel malts, yeasts and flowery hops
T: Sweet upfront. Toffee, caramel malts and grapes. Bready. End is bitter with notes of citrus hops
M: Medium body. Medium to low carbonation. Aftertaste is made of hops bitterness mainly
O: Super drinkable. Excellent Fuller's specimens. Absolutely recommended :)

Rich look with a reddish copper appearance and topped with a white, half centimetre head that has a foamy texture and disappears quite fast.
Rich, dry malts with a mix of caramel and toffee straight away, this was quickly followed by a strong fruity aroma that lingered in the background and gradually became more pronounced. Some alcohol but the spiciness of the beer covered most of this. The aroma was a strong one with applea, pear and biscuit.
A strong malt presence to start along with a taste of rich, creamy toffee and an accompanying caramel flavour. There is a fruity apple and pear taste too that is complimented by some spice and a linger, sweet taste of sugar.
Smooth with a medium to full body and a warming sensation when drank. The beer has a pleasant alcohol kick along with medium to low carbonation and a background sweetness.
An excellent beer and one that really packs a punch with a well hidden alcohol content for the most part and well balanced, complimentary flavours. A great beer for sipping away at.

Pours a deep amber gold - head fades quick - no lace.
Aromas of malts, caramels, toffee.
Taste is more of the same, a real malt bomb. A slightly astringent bitter finish stops a descent into overall sweetness. Alcohol warmth noticeable
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, warming.
From an Aus perspective, almost a dead ringer for Coopers Vintage.

330ml bottle, best before may 2013
A- Deep amber colour, some bubbles are visible right under the head. Head is big, white, has very big bubbles, it does not show great retention but it leaves some quite good amounts of lacing
S- Soft/buttery malts with dominant caramel notes. Spicy esters on the back of things. Maybe some light fruity hints as well (apple?)
T- Caramel malts are indeed playing a major role, with some honey notes showing up in both taste and aftertaste. A mild fruitiness is present throughout the whole tasting experience, with notes of apple, white grapes, maybe a slight citricness. Finish a bit on the earthy side, with a touch of hops making themselves heard. Maybe just a hint of alcoholic spiciness, much less than the smell suggested
M- Medium bodied. Very smooth with just a bit of soft carbonation texture on the tongue. Actually pretty watery for a 8.5%ABV beer but it still feels ok in this one
O- Not a stormer for sure. Just a nicely balanced, quite refreshing strong ale which almost feels like a session ale

On tap at the Beer Bistro. 275ml serving into a Fulelr's branded tulip.
Reddish copper body with an offwhite head. Minimal lacing and only some modest retention. Nose has rich caramel notes, a sligth breadiness and some dried darker fruit notes. Taste is similar and offers a bit more complexity - dried fruits and caramel notes dominate and establish a really solid and quite English malt profile. Modest sweetness and a subtle dryness and bitterness in the finish. A bit of alcohol is interwoven within the flavour, and adds some complexity. Excellent mouthfeel and completely smooth on the palate. An excellent English strong ale, and I'd certainly have this again. Tremendously disappointed that I passed on this when bottles were available at the LCBO.
