Handpump halfpint at the London Drinker festival.

A: Clear medium amber body, frothy off-white head. Nice lace.

S: Buttery, fruity, and floral. Very creamy. Not a bad smell for a little session bitter.

T: Follows the nose: very fruity (lots of apple, some apricot), a little buttery, and filled out with biscuity malt. Smooth, lightly bitter finish. Ok.

M: Light, slick, delicately carbonated. A little weak, but quaffable.

O: This was an ok beer, but with its rugby-inspired moniker I was expecting something a bit more aggressive.

Cheers!

Cask pint at Gambrinus Bistro & Cafe in London, ON.

Pours a clear amber/orange hue with ruby edges, a sliver of white froth, and sheets of lacing on the nonic glass.

Smell and taste are wet grain, lemony, grassy, and herbal hops, deep biscuity malts, light floral note, honey, quick astringent bitterness with some bread crust on the cough.

Mouthfeel is light bodied, low carbonation, slightly watery middle transitions to a spicy hop bitterness and balanced, drying finish.

Overall, Front Row is a satisfying English Bitter that delivers on its promise to quench the thirst. It's not as fruity and nuanced as it could be, but - like many other Fuller's rotators - it's a decent and enjoyable quaff.

On cask dispense at the Mawsons Arms, the Fullers brewery tap in Chiswick, Feb '12.

Served into a Fullers half pint glass to a golden/amber colour with a very small slightly off-white head which soon eases to the edge of the glass.

Not a strong smelling beer, I get a little citrus on the nose and some sweet grain.

On the palate, biscuity malt, a little subdued hop flavour and a hint of honey in the background.

A fairly thin bodied and watery beer.

Yet another '6 nations rugby' knock up that scores highly on the 'BLANDOMETER' ! This is the first beer I've ever rated straight 3's and that just sums it up perfectly, it won't offend you, but it won't inspire you! Not for me again thanks, and remember this was at the brewery tap where the beer should be at it's best (which I don't doubt) - it's just not a great beer!

I had an Imperial pint of this at a pub on a recent visit to London. In general I don't live british ales (they're a little malty for my taste) but I always like to try something new. It was described to me as being in between the London Pride and the ESB but apparently that isn't true.

Appearance is a medium pale, pulled from a cask so not very carbonated. Quite cloudy.

Aroma is very light with hints of sweet malt and a little bready.

Flavor is also not very interesting. More malty than anything else but none too distinct to describe it as anything.

Not my favorite beer on this recent trip.

Had on cask at the Mad Bishop and Bear in Paddington Station in London.

A- Nice copper color, with the thinnest of heads, just a little haze.

S- Very little hoppiness, just a hint of malt.

T- A well balanced brew, somewhat refreshing hoppiness, with just enough sweetness to balance it.

M- Thin to medium in body, just enough carbonation.

D- Nothing special, but a decent English pale ale.

A simple basic bitter marketed by Fullers for the 6 nations rugby.

Clear straw body topped by a sparse 1/4" head. Minimal lacing and retention.

Aroma is pleasant goldings grassy hops, with a background medicinal and metallic hint. A touch of Fullers signature malt.

Taste is easy honey malt, light and non threatening cut grass. Easily drinkable, nothing exciting. Lingers a bit chemically.

Light feel, quite drinkable. Nothing to write home about.
