A - dark brownish black with a thick, brownish head that fades to a thin lacing rather quickly

S - caramel, maybe some toffee, some faint roasted malts, maybe even some faint coffee

T - roasted malts, caramel, faint toffee, burnt sugar

M - chewy, sugary, medium to full bodied, well carbonated

This is a really solid, balanced, and complex beer. There are layers of caramel interspersed with roasted malts and faint toffee-like notes. There is also some sugar present which isn't cloying, but in fact add depth and balance.

This is one of the better imports I have had in a good while. This is definitely a porter that is worth checking out.

Appearance: Very dark, almost black; 2 finger, light brown head; excellent lacing

Aroma: Malty; roasted grain; coffee;

Taste: Juicy malt on start, quickly followed by bitter roast; bitter mid and finish; seems to be hoppier than a normal Porter, but not bad overall

Remarks: Very good British Ale

Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

Appearance - almost black with ruby highlights. Tan head dissipates quickly.

Aroma - chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt.

Taste - chocolate at the front of the tongue gives way to a nice chicory-like bitterness.

Mouthfeel - silky with low carbonation.

Overall - an outstanding porter!

This classic Porter has a dark drown earthy color, near black, with a tall head of soft foam. This beer has minimal carbonation, and gains some points for excellent head retention and lacing. The pleasant aroma I've drawn in is mostly dark fruit esters and molasses. After a tasting, more complexity is noted, bringing to mind mocha, toffee, and graham cracker crust. The mouth feel is very creamy and smooth, and the finish even has a light touch of hop bitterness. This could be my favorite overall low ABV beer!
