Draft pint at a Massachusetts British Beer Company.

a. Wonderful clear dark brown-amber. Not much head by the time it arrived at my table. Seemed to be served at the right temp.

s. Nothing particularly notable.

t. Very smooth, English "bitter" at its best probably to most drinkers' taste, meaning little bitterness..

m. Moderate. Very smooth. Obviously a top quality product.

o. Very enjoyable, easy drinking, belying the moderate ABV. Just a tad disappointed there was not a more distinctive taste. For accompanying meals, however, that's good. This was one time the beer surpassed the meal by a significant margin,.

Best by October 2013. Served in pint glass at 45 degrees.

Appearance - copper with rich white head that never quite disappears.

Aroma - sweet malt, toffee and caramel

Taste - grassy, peppery bitter notes balanced by nice biscuity, caramel malt.

Mouthfeel - medium body with light carbonation.

Overall - lives up to the hype, a magnificent quaffable ale perfect for summertime!
