It is a very bright hay gold color with good lacing and a nice white head. It has a strong weizen aroma. The usual cloves banana, cloves and spices. The taste strongly resembles the smell except there are some citrus and floral esters from the hops. The mouthfeel is fizzy with a little burn and pretty light. It is to drink and a great anytime beer.

A- Huge 3+ finger head, extremely clear, golden beer. The head is huge and reminds me of Miller, but it leaves very nice lacing down the glass as the foam fades. The color, clarity and ample carbonation reminds me of champagne. Jaw-droppingly beautiful, not your average looking wheat..
S- More of a grassy smelling wheat. Lots of elegant light malts and (again) champagne yeast. Subdued banana scents, but they are definitely there. This is not nearly as light smelling as I thought it would be; in fact, this is remarkably spicy. Almost aggressive smelling.
T- Lighter corn husk malts, slight adjunct quality, but with more depth. Not a bad beer, just nothing spectacular. Slightly above average, quite refreshing and light but not completely boring. Almost zero aftertaste, maybe a slight spice.
M- Quite good. Despite it's bubbly nature, the carbonation is not overwhelming; in fact, like everything about htis beer, the bubbles are subdued. Unexpectedly thicker body, which is quite nice.
D- Excellent drinkability. Very sessionable, slightly higher ABV but nothing overpowering.

Tried this at the Sunsinger wine shop in Champaign IL with my parents. My dad is a BMC guy, who is occasionally willing to try my "weird beers," and I ordered this for us since I thought that it would be relitively unintimidating and refreshing.
A - Clear macro lager pale yellow hue with a big three finger head that leaves quite a bit of foamy lace on the glass.
S - Fruity and clean with big yeasty donut qualities and some massive buttery diacetyl notes. Butterscotch and pancakes with butter and syrup. Really unique and aromatic.
T - Sweet fruity chewy candy...like Sweedish fish or something. Subdued fruitcake and date flavors behind a massive wall of buttersotch. I personally love diacetyl-laden beers, and this one has it in boatloads.
M - Full bodied, softly carbonated, and chewy. Refreshing with a clean and sweet finish.
D - Excellent. Really fruity, buttery, and thirst quenching. This was an excellent crossover beer for lager-lovers who fear anything dark or hoppy. My dad loved it and actually considered buying something similar for home consumption! I may be getting closer to converting him to good beer!

POured from a 1pt 0.9oz bottle into a Weihenstephenae weiss glass.
A - Poured a slightly cloudy straw color with a thick head of white foam. Excellent lacing and carbonation.
S - Slightly herbal/medicinal aroma. Slightly metallic with hints of banana and clove.
T - Herbal flavor with hints of spice, citrus and honey.
MF&D - Light body, crisp and easy to drink.

Served in a Franziskaner glass at 10.1°C (approx 50°F)
A: Crystal clear (as the name suggests), yellow liquid. You can see right through it. Love the color! Very fluffy white head, which lasts the entire review and longer. Beautiful!
S: Malted wheat, yeast, banana and perhaps some mandarin orange. Much more like a Hefe than a Kristall, but still good.
T: A little like a lager actually. Wheat malt, little hop aroma and VERY sweet. Almost like vanilla. Actually, there's a lot of vanilla aromas in this. Nice, but a bit too much on the sweeter side than expected.
M: The head makes it thick, creamy and fluffy, however the body is quite light (maybe medium). Once again, a bit too sweet
D: Very easily drinkable, even flow of CO2 and a smooth and thirst quenching satisfaction. Perfect summer brew

Clean, tasty with the stubborn, lacey foam (good). I can take or leave the "hefe" in my weizen and in this one I don't miss the yeast. Thirst quenching. German goodness throughout. I wish there was a category for "value" because the only strike against it is the price per bottle.

Deep gold, huge white head steadily shrinks to rich, foamy ring, some lace.
Aroma is lots of fruity grain, apple, light yeasty bread dough, light herb and hint of mineral.
Taste is light, crisp fruity grain, dough, apple, apple peel, hints of herb, lemon and mineral – all very light and ultimately mostly dominated by mineral, apple and hint of grassy citrus, with the finish being mostly mineral and apple. It has a nice, zesty feel, is light and crisp. Character is light and rather simple, but it’s very pleasant and drinkable, with enough body and character to keep it going.

Appearance poured a light golden straw color with a thick healthy head. Smell is like bread dough sweetened with light honey. Taste is lightly sweet and spicey with a hint of banana. Mouthfeel is light and creamy with good carbonation. This is one beer I would drink on a warm evening simply sipping and enjoying.

Poured into a nonic, for lack of weizen glass.
A: Clear light golden brew with a HUGE 3 finger white head that sticks around for the whole session.
S: Inviting fresh aroma; metallic and a grainy/wheat smell.
T: Banana, metallic, and crisp wheat right off the bat. Wet grains, some light spices in and out of the glass, and sometimes, there were flavors of absolutely nothing.
M: Lighter-bodied with tons of great, refreshing carbonation.
D: This beer is so pleasant to drink. Though I prefer unfiltered wheat styles, I look forward to buying a few of these for the hot Cali summer!

Presentation: 16.9oz slim design brown pop top bottle with classic Erdinger label and clear best by date
Appearance: Bright gold beer with huge streaming carbonation and a big puffy white head with good retention
Smell: Mild wheat, light sweet spice, light banana, and very light pilsener graininess
Taste: Lighter, less fruity, slightly grainier typical hefe taste...not a style I go for typically, but this is nice
Mouthfeel: Light and crisp
Drinkability: High
Conclusion: Solid, refreshing; my favorite of the Erdinger lineup

A big two and half fingers of head on a hazy, straw colored body. Looks great.
The aroma is banana bread and orange, faint overall.
The taste is moderately bitter with a light fruit sweetness and a banana finish.
Crisp texture with moderate carbonation and medium body.
This is a great kristalweizen.

Bright golden colour with white head.
Distinct banana smell. Not many other flavours really shine through.
Spicy taste of banana and cloves. The taste is brought forward by the carbonation which I feel is just on the right level for this type of beer.
This was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting such a highly drinkable beer and I can honestly say that I prefer this one over both the Erdinger dunkelweizen and their hefe.

A- Light straw/yellow, close to being clear, but has a slight opaque character. Plentiful white bubbly head that lasts and laces well.
S- Very little. Maybe some light grains.
T- Rather singular sweet Euro-Lager taste, followed by a slight malty aftertaste. Some spices linger with the last malts. This is a simple beer, with a light taste. Somehow it doesn't taste watered down though. Don't drink it to cold, or you will miss much of the pleasing tastes hiding in this beer. As my glass warmed up, it got better and better.
M- Bubbles. Otherwise fairly thin.
D- Easy to drink. Would be nice on a hot day.
This beer reminds me of macro light lagers, without any off flavors and with excellent head, lacing, and overall quality. Not to mention it isn't a lager. I was about to review it pretty low because it is so light, but actually I think this beer has its own place, and is intended to be exactly what it is. Overall I think it is refreshing, easy to drink, and looks good. Just don't expect what you normally expect from a wheat beer.

Golden brew with a big, fluffy, white head that doesn't go away too soon. It had prickly carbonation, and like the name said, it was crystal clear. The beer was fairly dry up front and had a pretty substantial malt flavor with a hint of vanilla on finish. Also, there was just a little bit of hops for balance. Good beer.

Presentation: 0.5l bottle purchased and consumed in Berlin, Germany. Freshness date. "Die Prickelnde Frische" = "No Yeast For You" on the label, which is important to note.
Appearance: Poured into a proper Erdinger Weisbbier glass, it produced a crystal clear golden beer with a thick white foam head -- awesome stick and stay!
Smell: Clean overall, with light aromas of steel and grain. Mention of spice.
Taste: An even, medium body. Soft malt flavours and sweetness cradle a subdued fruity character. Very faint banana. Thin floral hop flavour with a citrus edge and touch of spice. Mineral character throughout the beer. Finish fades into a palatable dryness.
Notes: A helluva beer, and spot on for the style. A clean, clear, tasty and very drinkable wheat beer. Exactly what it should be.

Two fingers of dense white froth cap a dark golden body, very impressive. Hops, mild fruit and yeast confront the nose, but not enough. The taste is rather good--hopped with hints of bitterness. Well carbonated, this is refreshing and enjoyable--not a Wow! beer, but solid.

1 pint, 0.9 oz bottle poured into a Weizen glass.
A = Very clear, golden yellow, large white head with good retention, lots of medium and small carbonation bubbles.
S = Crisp light scents of fresh grains, light fruits bananas, lemons, and light hops, as it warms gets some more yeast phenols showing through. Pleasant smells, but too subdued.
T = Very refreshing, lemon tastes blend with white toast, very subdued banana pudding in the background, subdued but present yeast phenols show up mid-palate, nice dry finish.
M = Medium-light body, good mouthcoating, good amount of carbonation.
D = Very easy drinking and refreshing. Good drinkability, especially on a hot Summer day.

.5L Euro bottle with a clearly marked freshness date.
Clear and golden with a nice head of white frothiness atop.
Lots of grainy wheat and warm bread notes with a cutting lemongrass hoppiness and very mild yeast-derived notes of vanilla and clove. Clean and flavorful. Could be mistaken for a well-made German lager if not for the distinctive wheatiness.
An easy drinker to start the day off.

Appearance: Pours head head. Crazy head. The beer poured as almost all head. I filled my large Weizen glass -- and waited -- but the meringue thick white head had the same retention of my Grandmothers pies. It never went down. Finally I set my glass in the sink and just poured the rest of the 16.9 oz bottle into the glass letting the head run over and down the drain. Big head is good but this was nuts. Oh yeah, when I could see beer it was a clear golden color.
Smell: Pale malts a hint of wheat and grass and a pinch of banana and fruit squeeze through the overall clean aroma.
Taste: This is a simple drinkable beer. The banana cloves and yeast are all present and yet it is reserved and clean. I am new to the Kristal Weizen style. This one is a clean and easy as a lager. Maybe that is the signature of this style of Weizen. This one seemed to have a Mia/Bock Dortmunder - esque quality about it. nice.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and slick and very malty medium body with a clean finish.
Drinkability: This is an easy chugger beer. Refreshing and guzzelable, it was a perfect beer after 13 hours of construction work today. Goodness it went down fast and easy.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

Pours a deep golden colour, kristall clear, with a large amount of big-bubbling carbonation. Head is frothy, but rather flat. No rockiness, and although it retains rather well, it doesn't have the tension to retain its shape. Looks like a decent enough Kristalweizen, and I really enjoy watching the carbonation in the style.
Light spicy notes on the nose, clove being dominant, with a bit of earthy pepperiness, and a slightly rank odour . Nice enough, but there's some odd characters to it.
Taste lifts this to a better level. Crisp wheat notes, and a light spice, but with a clear sweetness on the back. Finish is a very slightly metallic, but it adds a slight crispness that clears the palate nicely. Feel is classic for a kristal, smooth and soft for the most part, with just a crispness on the end.
A good kristal, a style which is often overshadowed by its more favoured sister style, the Hefeweizen. This doesn't quite show it off to its full potential, but it's a clean, refreshing and drinkable beer nonetheless. Good stuff.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 1pt 0.9oz bottle into a weizen glass. The bottle has a freshness date but no abv%.
Appearance: The body is clear, golden yellow in color and toped off with a tall loosely packed head. Most of the larger bubbles settle out quickly leaving a thin creamy covering. This holds on well and makes some slick lacing which slides right down the glass as I drink.
Smell: Its nose is lighter than most wheat beers but offers some mild fruity wheat with light notes of clove, banana and hop spice.
Taste/Palate: The flavor starts with a base of light grain and wheat mixed with mild notes of clove and fruity yeast. There is only a slight banana note and mild sweetness. Hops add a nice floral spice and crisp dryness to the neutral finish. On the tongue it has a fairly crisp light feel with balanced carbonation.
Notes: Its very drinkable with good clean wheat beer flavor.

Pours a very nice clear golden color with great initial head, that rapidly diminishes to almost nothing, and a little bit of lacing, not bad for a wheat beer.
It has a subtle aroma, very nice, very malty and sweet, with slight fruity/sugary tones to it.
Very nice taste, a crisp and clean, well balanced beer with the types of grain used. A very nice, light hint of banana-clove, just enough to taste.
This is a near smooth and sweet tasting beer, very refreshing. It would be great to cool down with.

Appearance: Pale golden color, typical of a kristalweizen with a nice frothy-ish head that has decent retention. Looks like the style. Good so far.
Aroma: Mild aroma..banana, cloves, some lemon. A pretty soft aroma really. Expected from this style
Taste: Pretty light, some lemon, some banana and cloves. Much milder than the hefe version, as it should be.
Mouthfeel: Clean, nice carbonation lending itself to crispness. Goes down well.
Drinkability: Good, considering the style. Light and refreshing.
Overall, I would prefer the Weihenstephaner version over this one, which is much softer on the palate. This one is still pretty good though
