Presentation: 0.5l bottle purchased and consumed in Berlin, Germany. Freshness date. "Die Prickelnde Frische" = "No Yeast For You" on the label, which is important to note.

Appearance: Poured into a proper Erdinger Weisbbier glass, it produced a crystal clear golden beer with a thick white foam head -- awesome stick and stay!

Smell: Clean overall, with light aromas of steel and grain. Mention of spice.

Taste: An even, medium body. Soft malt flavours and sweetness cradle a subdued fruity character. Very faint banana. Thin floral hop flavour with a citrus edge and touch of spice. Mineral character throughout the beer. Finish fades into a palatable dryness.

Notes: A helluva beer, and spot on for the style. A clean, clear, tasty and very drinkable wheat beer. Exactly what it should be.

A big two and half fingers of head on a hazy, straw colored body. Looks great.
The aroma is banana bread and orange, faint overall.
The taste is moderately bitter with a light fruit sweetness and a banana finish.
Crisp texture with moderate carbonation and medium body.
This is a great kristalweizen.

Poured from a 550 ml bottle into a tulip fluted glass, best by 07-2012. This pours a massive head, in fact the entire 18oz glass if nothing but head right now, as it dissipates it turns a clear pale light yellow color. The smells are of yeast esters, banana and wheat. The feel is mostly light. The taste is okay, its pretty light and refreshing, but light taste and no hop presence, not enough flavors for my usual preference. Perhaps this would be okay on a warm summer day.

Pours a clear yellow with a full white head. Decent carbonation, and the head seems to linger a bit.

Smells like a typical wheat beer, malty up front with hints of banana and pepper spice.

Malty up front, then a bit of banana and clove. Also has a hint of citrus.

Feel is pretty nice, although there is a lot of carbonation, adds a bit of a tingle to it.

Not the best wheat beer I've tried, but not bad either. It is refreshing, and has enough flavor to keep me wanting more. A good summer beer.

A- beautiful golden clear body with billowy head and mots of carbonation

S- Malthus and a little skunky. Smells like a euro lager.

T- hmmm this one is tough to rate. Some malt and grain notes. Some weird off taste in the back of my pallet that I cant distinguish except its not pleasant.

M- acceptable for the style

O- disappointed with this german offering. Don't care to try again.

Bottle poured into weizen
Four finger soapy head, and just like they say, "crystal clear."

Smell: malt, not much else

Taste: Barely anything except wet grass.

Mouthfeel: Watery!!

This is the weakest beer in Erdinger's portfolio. I wouldn't recommend it. Try Urweisse or the Dunkel, if you want something different. I may try this again, but only if on tap.
