Clean fresh slight malt nose. hazy dark gold look (a little too dark). There is NOT a lasting head but there is a very fine white lace. Very basic plain disappointing taste. No fruit.. no yeast.. no special tongue at all just a basic wheat malt taste. Not much mouth either. I could not believe the blandness of the taste... My taste must be spoiled by Franziskaner and Paulaner....

This beer pours a great cloudy amber color with a nice large white head on top. One of the first things noticable about this brew is its fruity smell, this is also one of the first things tasted. There is a strong chemical type taste to this beer, which goes away once the beer has warmed. There is also a stonger alcohol flavor than most hefe's. Overall this is not a bad hefeweizen, but not my first choice to drink.

A good example of a hefe-weiss. On tap, poured a nice thick white head with lots of bubbles. It was golden yellow, nice thickness, mine even had some yeast floaters in it, which is a good thing. Lots of bubbles, the head left quickly. Noticed the big banana taste more so than others in this style. The fruitness and bubbles seemed drown out the doughy flavor I like. Overall, very drinkable and refreshing. The place even served it in the brewery glass. I still think Uncle Otto's is tops in this style.

Light tan in color with a slightly off white head. Fresh wheat taste with hint of clove and citrus, highlighted with the addition of a lemon wedge. Thick tasting on the tongue. Nice yeast presence.

Interested in trying this....very prevalent in the area around Munchen. According to Jackson, Erding is the biggest wheat-bier producer in the world. Was medium-golden in color, with a bit of orange color...cloudy, too.... mousse-like head...short-lived. No lacing present. Lots of banana in the nose, with a touch of clove and maltiness. Mild, overall. Flavor had more banana, some very mild spiciness, and a lemony end. A fruity weiss, as opposed to some with the clove/yeast spiciness.Good body, but a slightly prickly tongue.... smoothed out more as it warmed. More subdued than most German Weisse biers.

An average German Wheat at best, not much flavour, and bit of a chemical taste, but its drinkable, so thats good.

Presentation: 500 ml tall brown Euro style bottle with a “best before end” freshness date on the back label.
Appearance: Fluffy looking off white head with a less than normal head retention for a wheat beer, sunset orange yellow hue with a very cloudy look to for the decanting of the yeast in the glass.
Smell: Light fermented wheat twang, soft spicy clove with a rounded and mellow fruitiness makes up the aroma.
Taste: Just as smooth as it is crisp with a creamy medium body, not too much on the clove spiciness but it is there and holds on through the finish. Good dose of malt sweetness and a twang from the wheat, powdery yeast adds a touch of earthy flavour. Fruitiness is mellow just like the aroma with subtle ripe banana and pear. Hops are light and ride with the effervesce and clove. Sweetness and clove battle it out in the finish as the dryness tries to creep in also.
Notes: Decent, a bit one-dimensional for the style. Easy to drink which comes more from the mouth feel than the flavour. When it comes to wheat beers in general this one lands just above mediocre unfortunately.

This brew has all the typical characteristics of a south German hefe. I also think this one's a bit dryer and slightly more tart than most. Not a bad thing mind you, just a bit more lemon upfront. A touch lighter in body as well.
