For a time this was my favorite hefe, maybe even my favorite brew. I still love it but I appreciate some smaller craft hefes. This flavor lies in between Paulaner and Franziskaner. I think the Franziskaner is a little strong for most people, and this Erdinger comes in just about perfect. This is a perfect brew to sip on a hot day after working in the yard. Much tougher to find a 6 pack of this than Paulaner or Franziskaner. Sometimes i'm forced to go to Bristol Farms and get a 22 oz bottle, but usually I get it at the yardhouse in long beach on tap. I can't say anything negative about this brew. Fantastic, I can't wait to visit the Erdinger brewery.

Served in a weizen glass.
Appearance: A semi hazy gold colored body with heavy bubbles right from the beginning created a white head, maybe 2/3".
Smell: Raw hop scent, maybe some banana skin. Very light indeed.
Taste: Has a mellow banana feel to it, but the bitter hops aren't exactly what i was expecting for a hef. Not really complex but good enough.
Mouth: I honestly must say heavy bubbles with a light stickiness to it.
Overall: It's a good beer, dont let my review ruin hyour fun...it;s not quite like my favorite hefeweizens but does the job. For about three bucks or so a bottle not a loss at all. Salud!

Pale hazy gold with lots of clumpy clingy head.
Grain, spicy grass and slight wax on the nose.
Dough up front, fresh apricot and peach, slight noble end.
Fruity finish and herbal linger.
Light, crisp, creamy, thin.
Quenching if watery, big on stone fruit and keeps some wheaty body. Trouble here is that the classic Weiss yeast is almost totally absent, both on the nose and palate - no banana, no cloves. So while it's pleasant enough, it's not a great example of the style, especially coming from Bavaria.
