500ml bottle poured into an Erdinger weizen glass by freshness date.
A:
Hazy yellow-copper color which is a bit darker than typical Hefeweizen with massive white creamy dense head that slowly recedes to decent everlasting foamy layer on the top and leaves plenty of lacing patch all around, rather high carbonation, visible bubbles of carbonation stream fast towards the top.
S:
Very malty ranging from big biscuit to slight caramel, almond, clove spice, citrus, lemon, orange peel.
T:
Upfront by biscuity sweet and malty flavor, clove/wheat spiciness and citrus/lemon zest dwell through the middle then biscuity malt sweetness re-dominates again at the almost end until the finish. The usual banana ester and yeasty trait are just subtle but they are still there with a hint.
M:
Medium-bodied, very smooth mouthfeel, crisp with actively high carbonation that is well suit to carry all the things well, quite dry finish.
D:
This brew is very malty with a prominent biscuity-like character yet also bolder than typical Hefeweizen by boosting up malty profile and alleviating norm fruity character, anyway still delicious and highly enjoyable and drinkable.

poured a hazy golden colored liquid, 3 fingers white dense head, nice retention and lacing, nose of malts wheat and hops, palate a bit like cardboard but in spite of that quite pleasant, wheat very present, medium body nice carbonation, i loved the presentation, smell and palate are nice.

Best before 06.13
Cloudy dull dark amber colour. Pours a nice big even off-white head. Some lacing, head fades down but doesnt quite disappear.
Smell is somehow refreshing, spicy with a medicinal edge and some bubblegum - the yeast overpowers the other notes when added.
First taste disappointing. Bubblegum on the swallow. It's too cold (my fault); too fizzy (their fault). After I add the yeasty bottle-end and it's warming a little, it's got more flavour: citrusy, malty, wheaty, some spicyness, only a little hint of clove - something sour in the swallow that I didnt like. Untypical for a wheat beer which wouldnt bother me at all. But I wont get it again, the flavours and the sour finish arent balanced and just dont work here.

Drank from my Erdinger Weizen glass.
A - Pours a hazy golden colour with a frithy white head that dies slowly.
S - Bready and citrus dominate the nose.
T - Sweet sticky yeast flavours first, followed by some spicey banan and clove, finishes a little dry.
M - Medium body, high carbonation
D - Enjoyable and drinkable

Bottle into Erdinger Weisbier pint glass (how apt!). Purchased and poured in low altitude Galway, Ireland.
A: Pours a head of nice thickness and moderate cream. Retention is average. Cloudy yellow-copper colour. Appealing.
Sm: Musty malted barley with hops. Wheat (shocker). Fresh, almost a bit flowery. Moderate strength scent. Pleasant, but nothing special.
T: Cream to a pleasant body that balances wheat and barley notes with its malt quite nicely. A bit too hoppy. The finish sits alongside the body kind of strangely. There's a slight injection of off-bitter flavour in the finish which doesn't complement the beer well. Too malty (especially for a Hefeweizen).
Mf: Too smooth, too wet. Coarseness on the climax is critical for this style, and it's missing.
Dr: It's cheap enough to have again - if I enjoyed it more. I wouldn't have it again unless I found it on draught.

A - Hazy amber orange pour yielding the usual thick rocky white weizen head with medium rentention finally settling down to a finger-thick foamy layer. Slow carbonation visible from the bottom of the tall, slender Erdinger glass (4)
S - Mild nose of wheat malts with some citrus zest meeting some spices and a dash of banana flavor. (3.5)
T - Notes of wheaty maltiness and sweetness upfront meeting with a grassy, bready citrus middle, concluding with some spices and banana phenols towards the end. (4)
M - Medium bodied mouthfeel with medium low carbonation going down creamy smooth albeit with a slightly watery feel. (4)
D - Pretty drinkable Weissbier although the nose is a tad mild. Definitely better than the standard Erdinger Weissbier on the flavor. (4)

On sale from Getränke Hoffman, now that xmas season is over.
A: Darker than normal weißbier's. Definitely orange in color. Nice fluffy head.
S: Not a strong smell, but the yeast is there.
T: A pretty flat flavor, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. At the very end, there's a bit of sweetness, but only in some of the sips.
M: It's fine. Just the bitterness isn't pleasant.
D: I wouldn't buy it again. Not so many good qualities about it, then again, not so many bad.

Got this at Bert's Bierhuis
From a bottle into a snifter
APPEARANCE: Pours a big fluffy four finger white head that mounds out of the glass. Decent retention, as it pops and fades down to a thick foam cap. Carrot or gamboge orange in color, cloudy, with higher amounts of carbonation in the form of smaller bubbles. Head eventually fades away totally, leaving no real lacing to speak of. Started out great, but ended a little lack lustre.
SMELL: Wheat malt, bready qualities as well, and some decent citrus lemon and melon notes. Some hints of clove as well. Though it misses some of those standard banana esters, it's certainly a bold and enticing nose.
TASTE: Wheat malt up front, quite sweet actually, and leads to a bready and citrus middle into a sweet bready and sour dough finish. A bold and longer lasting sweet-sour aftertaste is metallic and slightly astringent. A little off putting by the end, but not bad.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. A little light on the palate, but creamy enough. Goes down smooth and finishes quite dry; quite astringent.
OVERALL: A decent beer; certainly better than their standard Weizen. I'm not sure what gives Erdinger that sour-dough quality, but it just doesn't work for me. This one was a little too astringent as well. It's called a schneeweiß, though I'm not quite sure if this is a winter beer. Sommerweiß would be a more accurate name in my books.

Once poured in my glass "Bayern Weissbier":
A: Yellow-nector color very cloudy, fat foamy head with two fingers thick and medium lacing;
S: Poor, rancid and metal essences, some bananas too but generally unpleasant;
T: Wheat and bananas, spicy hops and more wheat at the finish;
M: Very refreshing and fruity, medium bitterness, medium body and high carbonation;
D: Tastes more like summer beer than winter beer.

Pours very well for a massive amount of rocky light tan head. The body is hazy and caramel in color.
The aroma's weak. Very little hints metallic fragrances.
The taste has sweet banana and a hint of caramel flavor.
MF is good, prickly, and wetting to the palate.
This is not a very warming beer. Thus I wouldn't prefer this to a nice Doppel or Eisbock, but it doesn't really taste too bad.
