It was pretty good beer. Not quite my favorite of all time. From this brewery, I liked the Rusty Chain better. This beer had a pleasant appearance. Taste was somewhat complex, in that it had a variety of pleasant notes. A little bit of a floral note. My wife thought it was a slightly sour (as opposed to sweet) and a tad bitter. Again, overall a good drinkable beer.

The appearance of this beer is a light golden color. The beer leaves no lacing against the glass and has a very small head, 1/8 of an inch at best.
The smell is nice. It is fruity in general (no specific fruit) and has a nice toasted barley scent as well.
The taste is very good as well. Fruity, toasted and bitter yet refreshing. Nice mixture.
I am not a fan of heavy carbonation and this beer has it...so low marks here. It is so carbonated that it is difficult to drink in a way...almost like drinking soda.
Overall I like the taste and the smell but the drinkability is way down with the heavy carbonation. I think there are better Kolsches...(umm, Kolschi?) out there as this one is only above average and not great.

Pours a clear golden with a thin white head. Just a bit of retention, and very little laceing. Aroma is of grainy malts. Body is light and crisp with some carbonation. Taste is a good mix of earthy hops and bready malts. Nice bit of sweetness in the finish. Light, but full flavored.A good version of the Kolsch style.

Growler filled at the Flying Bison Brewery and poured to a glass of the same.
Ah, a nice summer day calls for a nice summer brew. Since this is brewed basically in my back yard making it the freshest summer brew i could get my hands on. Pours a clear clean golden pale with medium visible carbonation and a 1 finger head that gives some decent retention through out the pint. Smells of grain, earthy, slight hops, slight caramel, and slight citrus. Nice fruity malts on the tongue, juicy apples, spice, ginger, mild hops on the finish. Nice German style lager. Extremely crisp and refreshing this beer screams "lawnmower beer", light in body, and leaves the mouth dry for another sip. Overall this is pretty good, very good when very cold and hits the summer beer spot.

One of their best. A creamy lovely kolsch, that cuts the edge of the style. Cloudy blonde, like my kids' hair. Creamy mouthfeel. German pearly hops used, and some wheat. Citrus on the lemony side. Refreshing clean with nice finish not so dry. A winning summer brew. Tim, bottle this one please.

This beer screams refreshing. Pouring a transparent yellow with a nice moderate head. The aroma was light. Of more malty than hoppy. but there is a strong presence of hops. The taste was balanced nicely. The hops give it a nice fruity/citrus taste while it is tamed by just the right amount of hops. It was good, but it didn't go much farther than the average beer of this style. It would make a great summer drink. Good with Key Lime Pie.
