Enjoyed at the brewpub along with some fantastic bbq. Looks fairly unappealing in the glass; a little light in color, very clear, and very minimal head with no lacing. Decent carbonation though. Nothing remarkable about the smell; light hops and some earthy qualities. Taste is very mildly hoppy with a slightly bitter aftertaste that does not linger.
Babe's does a mean bbq but if I go back I will definitely order from their bottle selection or the guest draft rather than go for one of their house selections.

Enjoyed at the brewpub.
Looks nice, even served biker pour style. Clear coppery amberwith a thin, white skim of fine bubbles coating the surface of the beer. Streaky lacing with some solid sheets at the top of the glass, pretty sticky, good head retention. Very mild aroma, just a bit of malt and citrus. Moderate to low bitterness with notes of oranges, bread crust and toast. Medium bodied, creamy carbonation, slight dryness, decent texture. Overall, pretty good and fairly well balanced. It was a little light on the hops, but still alright.

On-tap at Babe's
A: The beer pours a golden amber color with a finger of white head.
S: Something is obviously wrong here. Banana in the pale ale? Grassy hops, toffee, and a fair amount of bread. I don't get much, if any, citrus.
T: More banana on the palate along with Babe's trademark butter flavor. Mild pine notes as well as some grass. Decently bitter to counteract what malt flavor and sweetness there is.
M: Medium in body with a medium carbonation.
O: When the pale ale is this bad, you know you're in trouble.

A-Light copper with a nice effervesance. A thin white head leaves spotty lace.
S-Faint hop presence and nothing else
T-Biscuity malt with a dash of citrus and earthy hops
M-Medium-light body with a nice amount of lingering bitterness in the aftertaste.
D-Not bad. This isn't offensive simply not exciting. Could be a quality session brew if it had more flavour....but this is kinda dull.

Ordered up a pint of this APA to wash down some tasty BBQ last night. Had a nice mahogany color and a firm, durable off-white head that left sticky lace in its wake.
The nose was pretty subdued but still had a pleasing Cascade hops aroma over sweet caramel malt notes. The taste brought up even more with a good earthy maltiness and caramel sweetness up front followed by a mild nutty flavor. The strong hoppy bite in the finish made for a tasty package. The feel was medium in body, slightly slick and a touch chewy.
Overall, 29 Palms Pale Ale was a pretty good representation of the American pale ale. Very easily quaffable and it went real well with the BBQ. All in all, it had a lot of the same qualities of SNPA, one of my favorite pale ales. Nicely done.
