330 ml bottle:
Pours a copper-red semi hazed ale in the glass. DEcent 2 finger cap, good retention and lacing.

Aroma is Caramel-toffee malts over herbal-grassy ginger tones.

Medium body, rich malty-spicy character, light peppery mouth feel.

Flavor is a wonderful cacophony of rich Marris otter and caraMunich malts, peppery bittering as the hops ride with the spicey Ginger in balancing the front....middle gets some interesting flavor amalgams...long rich finish, ginger and some fusil mingle with sweet malting....long lingering warming.

A world class specialty beer. Well carried off, substantial and deeply flavorful.

Poured from the bottle into a Dogfish Head Ale glass.

A nice dark orange amber, thin rising carbonation along the edges, presented with a three finger light tan head and even bubbles. Settles to a thick tan head, kind of looks like a strong ale. Some good spider like lacing to match as well.

Minor ginger on the nose, with a powdery sense. Not much else going on, but truly does smell like ginger with a nice softness.

Palate hits with a minor wet body. Not much of a taste of ginger on the beer, but finishes with a quite dry powdery feel. Not much malt feeling presence that comes with the first sips, but manages a mild sweetness.

Overall it's kind of interesting but I am not exactly keen on this one.
