Dark murky amber body with a huge finger of yellowish head. The nose has as a mild ginger spice and a mild hop up front with a few roasted aromas as well. The first sip is rather sweet with big caramel And candied ginger with light citrus. The finish is quite dry and somewhat warming....now realize its 8%. Overall well balanced and tasty for sure

Poured from the bottle into a Dogfish Head Ale glass.

A nice dark orange amber, thin rising carbonation along the edges, presented with a three finger light tan head and even bubbles. Settles to a thick tan head, kind of looks like a strong ale. Some good spider like lacing to match as well.

Minor ginger on the nose, with a powdery sense. Not much else going on, but truly does smell like ginger with a nice softness.

Palate hits with a minor wet body. Not much of a taste of ginger on the beer, but finishes with a quite dry powdery feel. Not much malt feeling presence that comes with the first sips, but manages a mild sweetness.

Overall it's kind of interesting but I am not exactly keen on this one.
