Pours a hazy ruddy amber color, off-white lacing for a head.

Smells of caramel, apples, piney hop resin and hints of ginger.

Tastes of semi-sweet bready malts, mildly bitter hops and a whisper of ginger spice and sweetness. More ginger in the aftertaste.

Medium to full body with minimal carbonation but a noted light sting of ginger.

An interesting and different ale, enjoyable and worth trying. Strikes me as something that might pair well with certain savory foods. On it's own, might be a little too weird to warrant a second try for most, but I am personally happy drinking it the first time at least.

Poured from the bottle into a Dogfish Head Ale glass.

A nice dark orange amber, thin rising carbonation along the edges, presented with a three finger light tan head and even bubbles. Settles to a thick tan head, kind of looks like a strong ale. Some good spider like lacing to match as well.

Minor ginger on the nose, with a powdery sense. Not much else going on, but truly does smell like ginger with a nice softness.

Palate hits with a minor wet body. Not much of a taste of ginger on the beer, but finishes with a quite dry powdery feel. Not much malt feeling presence that comes with the first sips, but manages a mild sweetness.

Overall it's kind of interesting but I am not exactly keen on this one.
