Pours a light brown, the server gave me one hell of a head (get your mind out of the gutter), but still looked great.
Smells like absolute pure spice. Strong allspice and cinnamon maybe some vanilla and clove.
Tastes just like you'd expect, a Christmas cookie. Smooth, malty, coupled with some of the holiday spices in the aroma. Little to no bitterness. Overall, a great beer. The spices aren't overpowering like you get from a lot of seasonals and they're coupled with a strong malt flavor. Fairly drinkable, but the spices might get to you after awhile, which is expected. Great seasonal brew
I'd seek this one out if you can, definitely recommend it.

Brewery description is spot on with malty accented by mild winter spices. Nice amber color, mild carbonation, minimal head , and no lacing. Spice profile is good but could be stronger for my taste. Overall a good winter brew.

Here comes the fourth (?)/fifth (?) beer in Happy Damn You for Being with the Best Multiple New Hookers with Tea on Sunday When There's Beer, Bro. Woody! (Week 687).
From the CAN: "A Winter Embracing Brew"; "Character: Warmth, Spice and Everything Nice"; "Brewed to celebrate Winter in New England, Nor'Easter Lager possesses a Hearty Malt flavor delicately accented by mild winter spices."
I Crack!ed the vent open & beCAN a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. An in-glass swirl raised just over two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, light-tan head with excellent retention, taking forever to fall & leaving great lacing in its wake. Color was Deep-Amber/Light Copper to Copper (SRM = > 13, < 17) with NE-quality clarity. Nose smelled spicy, fruity and bready, like a fruitcake. Mmm. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not terribly past it, either. The taste was very spicy, initially, with a light sweet chocolatiness and that of dried, dark stone fruits along with a bready yeastiness. It was not quite up to fruitcake, but more like a Black Forest Cake. Yum! My mother's maiden surname is Kirsch & her mother was a fantastic cook who taught me to cook & bake. I always gravitated towards baking & we made great cakes with cherries. Yummy! Finish was dry, as any beer that uses spices as adjuncts should be expected to be. I CAN see using this for my annual Christmas crock pot roast as part of the liquid. It would also do quite well in a double boiler and mulled, maybe even adding some additional spices. I really want more of this in the next Winter!

A: crystal clear; deep amber in color; 1 finger off white head that receded to a wispy cap; very little lacing;
S: baked apples followed by nutmeg and cinnamon;
T: can't define the initial taste, but it morphs into warm apple cider, then into apples baked with brown sugar and cinnamon; very little bitterness;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation;
O: interesting; not something I would drink except with dessert;
