A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger finely pored white head that receded to a thick collar; nice lacing;
S: watermelon candy;
T: not as sweet as the aroma, which make the flavor seem more like fresh watermelon; no bitterness - sweet throughout;
M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: definitely not my cup of tea, but nicely done;

Crisp ale with a definite punch of watermelon - very refreshing. Pours like a light ale (which it is), smells like a fresh cut up watermelon and tastes just like that.

Had this one out of a 12oz bottle into a pint glass last night. Bottled on 6/29 was stamped on the neck. Golden color with decent clarity and a small head that surprisingly lasts a bit. Smell is really weird. Right off the bat it is instant watermelon Jolly Rancher and not much else. The first sip is overwhelming Jolly Rancher and it is cloying, but as it warms and your taste buds get used to it the watermelon subsides. Near the middle you get the cracker malts and sweetness and a touch of bitterness in the back-end. The candy like watermelon still remains upfront but isn't as prominent. The body is light but the flavor is simply too saccharine to ask for another. Worth trying once for the novelty, but if you've ever had watermelon Jolly Rancher candy then you know what this will taste like.
