Notes:
A blend of Bravo, Amarillo, Cascade, and Centennial hops give this beer a crisp, hoppy flavor. Dry hopping with Centennial gives this beer a beautiful aroma of citrus notes. Balanced but complex, this beer is a refreshing brew.

12 oz. bottle into a Samuel Adams Boston Lager Glass.
A: Pours a deep, semi-cloudy amber with 1 in. creamy tan head. Very nice lacing.
S: Cascade hops hit the nose first, followed by notes of pine and a complex bouquet of bitter fruit.
T: Very full flavor with bold hop character. Some sweetness and fruity notes, but the abundance of hops are front and center. Smooth, malty back pares down some of the bitterness of the hops, but just a little. If you’re offended by hoppy beer, keep walking. Aftertaste doesn’t change much, the flavor just sort of lingers. For a while.
M: This one’s a mouthful. Full, rich body that gets a little thick as it drinks. Average carbonation. Hop Meadow packs a 6.5% ABV, and Mr. Hooker has made no effort to hide this fact.
D: Generally balanced, but pushes the envelope just enough (like me). Overall, an excellent ratio of hop to malty flavors, which makes for a very drinkable beer. A sound “beginner IPA” that will still satisfy seasoned hop heads. Filling with a high ABV, so two in an evening might be enough.

On tap at a local restaurant poured into pint glass.
Appearance: reddish brown relatively clear and barely any head
Smell: piney, caramel, malt, didn't get a ton of citrus
Taste: a surprising stickiness for a medium body brew that leaves somewhat of an unpleasant dryness and aftertaste
Overall: just ok, dryness somewhat unpleasant and I wouldn't call it the most refreshing beer

Born 4/04/13:
Into a pint glass:
A: slightly hazy, somewhat bright orange colored body with a one finger white foamy head, light foamy lacing that leaves some rings
S: somewhat fruit, some caramel malts, a decent amount of hops - all combined nicely
T: mainly sweet becomes slightly balanced after a bit of warming through the hops, somewhat roasty as well, sweet aftertaste, slightly bitter dry finish
M: medium, fairly sessionable, adequately carbonated
O: this is good for an AIPA, could actually be borderline EIPA because of the strong sweet maltiness, no worries, I liked it and would have it again

Really enjoyed this offering. Pours an inche head which dissapates but a ring hangs around. It's a filtered orange yellow in appearance. The smell is a typical IPA. Can smell the floral hops and some malts. The initial taste is a grapefruity hop with some malts in the middle and finishes with some hops in the end. Definitely a hoppy tongue. The mouthfeel is medium. Overall I'm enjoying this IPA. As I love big hops, this is a keeper for me. Was a good pickup.
