Went to manayunk last night and this was one of the three beers I got. It was pretty good but I still think the Hive is there best offerings.
This one had an amber hazt color, a small head and lightly carb'd.
The aroma was fresh and hoppy.
the taste was hoppy with some floral and pine notes. Some malts which hide in the background. It was refreshingly bitter with some lean dryness.
A good beer flavor wise but the appearance needs a little work, but you don't drink appearances.

A nice IPA but not my favorite variation on the style. Hops greet the nose immediately upon pouring but also allow a slight maltiness to escape as well. Flavor follows the aroma mostly, but does allow the actual true colors of the malts to show in a drying roasted caramel. Mouthfeel was good overall. This one held up fairly well in my cellar and tasted quite nice, tho you could tell it was a little past it's prime.

This beer won a bronze medal at the 2002 World Beer Cup in the English I.P.A. category. It is deep copper colored with orange highlights has an unbelievable cream colored head that just won't die down. The aroma expresses both English and American varieties of hops, as well as a good amount of caramel malt and a touch of alcohol. The body is fairly full and the mouthfeel is very creamy. The flavor is mainly well balanced between caramel malt and hoppiness. The finish is dryish but with an avalanche of maltiness ready to fall right behind it.
