Catching up on my reviews.

A - Served with a glowing golden body and a big, fluffy white head that slowly settled to just a cap...nice lacing was left behind on the glass

S - The Belgian notes were held to a minimum but you could pick out some pale malts and a hint of spicy yeast...the hops shone brighter than normal being herbal and a touch citrusy

T - Again, the Belgian is kept on a low profile, but the characteristics come out more on the palate than in the nose...the beginning is mild and balanced but right in the middle a shot of yeast jumps out on the palate...it brings a bit of spice then pairs with the American hop addition...the hops provide a bit of juiciness, then give of an herbal flavor to balance things out for the finish

M - Light bodied...nicely carbonated, just the right amount of juicy hops

O - I was a fan of this Americanized Belgian Pale Ale...most of the times the yeast gets to me in a Belgian beer, but here it was kept on a low profile...and who can't go wrong adding big, juicy hops to a beer?!

Playing a bit of catch up on this one. Reviewed from notes.
Served on-tap in the Tasting room.

A - Pours golden yellow with a big, pillowy two finger tall white head leaving spider webs of lace down most of the glass.

S - Smells of the typical Westmalle yeast, mildly toasted grain, bubble gum, clove; everything you would expect from a belgian pale ale. The extra hops are a bit slow to show themselves but when they do it really helps to round it out.

T - Taste is remarkably similar to the nose. Starts off with a quick citric hop punch quickly giving way to some toasty caramel malt, spicy yeast, bubble gum and fresh herbs. The hops really help to keep things balanced initially, as it warms the belgian characteristics start to take over, bringing the overall drinkability down a notch.

M - Medium-Light body with moderate carbonation. The typical Belgian feel is dumbed down by the added hop bitterness, making it even easier to drink, at least for me.

O - A very nice example of a hybrid belgian pale. It almost tastes like Dreamweaver with the Hopback hop profile. Glad I could try this one, it was gone pretty fast, and for good reason.

Pours an orange yellow color with a decent head and good lacing on the glass. Smells very grainy but also light. Taste has solid but not over the top hopping with a good amount of light malt balance. More body and flavor than the nose reveals. Mouthfeel is excellent with smaller carbonation - light up front, more body on the back. Sweet candy on the finish.

On tap at the source served in a sort of stubby cervoise. The brew appears a perfectly clear copper orange color with a finger of white froth. A full wall of lace sticks to the glass with yellowish clarity seen around the edges when held to the light.

The nose is fresh with caramel to toasty malt and plenty of herbal hops. A mild dry fruity character is reminescent of pear and apple skins coupled with a hint of bubblegum and zesty fruity rinds. The aroma here does not scream belgian, it is very mild and clean.

The taste starts off with caramel to toasty/bready and biscuit-like malt flavoring with fruit and zesty herbal rind quality. A mild dry fruit like pear/apple and some alcohol warmth poke through. While the beer is clean and enjoyable, the belgian yeast hardly lays down a footprint to distinguish this as belgian.

This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is crisp and easy drinking. My only gripe is thay the belgian aspect of this is very subdued by the hops and strong bready grain presence. You dont really get that typical belgain feel out of this but overall without focusing on that, its a very well put together beer that is worth trying.
