Pours a clear golden orange with a one finger frothy head.
Smells of grapefruit citrus and caramel hops. Very pleasant, fresh, and inviting.
Tastes is nicely balanced between the bitter hoppy citric herbal peppery notes and the malts. The malts come in with a more caramelized brown sugar and slightly burnt toffee.
Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated and slightly viscus. It's the perfect blend for the abv. I always like when the mouthfeel denotes the abv. This ones still very drinkable.
Overall, this is a beautiful ipa that leaves great lacing, smells inviting and has a taste to back it up. I would get this again in bottle and I would love to try it on draft.

Big thanks to jzeilinger for sending a couple bottles of this my way! Knocked this one off my wants. Bottled on 4/4/13. Poured into a tulip glass.
Pours a slightly hazy deep garnet orange with a lustrous bone-white head. Great lacing left behind. A nice looking beer. Big citrus notes on the nose. Mild spicy profile, pine-scented finish.
Moderate body, but easy-drinking. Good carbonation. Big citrus-forward hops make up the bulk of this beer. Mango, grapefruit, navel orange. A great bitter snap that fleets away quickly, causing me to gulp this one down. No lingering bitterness. Sweet kiss of sugar on the finish. This is a splendid beer. So glad I had more than 1 bottle at my disposal. Would love to get some more of this.

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of Belgian beer glass.
A: Pours a clear golden-orangish hue with a big, white, frothy head that slowly dissipates down the side of the glass leaving a nice trail and ending in a wispy lace.
S: Hoppy aroma with slightly tart citrus scent.
T: Similar to the smell and good mix of bitter hops and sweet malt with a solid citrus and pine background.
M: Medium body and medium carbonation
O: Really good IPA - nice and hoppy but balanced well.

Wow. Straight up, this thang kinda smells like the ripe underbelly of a skunk - while the taste is more like an average Pale Ale at best. Not stoked, Raul ain't stoked at all. What's going on here? Raul was pumped on this Tröegs offering, but like a Hersey kiss, Raul rather leave it in the wrapper.
*Consensus: terrible attempt at a West Coast IPA.
