The Troegenator Doublebock pours into a chalice a clear tea color, with a thin tan head.

The smell is sweet malts and alcohol.

The taste starts with roasted malts, some phenolic taste, but very, very slight. It finishes with a hint of hops, just enough to strike a balance with the malts.

The mouthfeel is actually medium-heavy. Not a lot of carbonation, but that suits this doublebock just fine. It seems to be more effervescent on the palate, than on the pour!

Great drinkability, but go easy ... the 8.2% abv is well-masked.

Fine brew!

12oz bottle

A Amber/brown, auburn. No head.

S - warm raisin bread. yum. cherries, chocolate?

T/M - flavor explosion. perfectly well balanced malt. not overly sweet but it's still a dobblelbock, so it's there.

O - def could have gone for some frothy head on this, but maybe it's aged a bit...however the flavor profile is exactly what you want out of a doppelbock. noms
