Had the tap, now trying the bottle.
A: Clear brown, head seems small, maybe due to the alcohol content (?).

S: Richly malty, notes of a dark bready smell. There's a fair amount of a caramel aroma here with a fairly strong smell of alcohol. No hop aroma at all.

T: Sweet malts dominate, there's a bit of a bread crust taste late in the flavors. Hops? Off in the corner in a timeout. There's a bit of an alcohol taste to this, not surprising considering, but it tends to fade over the course of drinking this.

M: A bit more than medium in body. Nice level of carbonation. Alcohol warmth is pretty strong, which is nice, but it's leaving me with that whisky feel in the back of my mouth, dry and medicinal.

D&N: Well done, Trogner Bros! Biased, to be sure, but the fact that this is from my home state gives it a big drinkability factor, it's local and it's awesome. Definitely worthy of recommendation.

12oz bottle

A Amber/brown, auburn. No head.

S - warm raisin bread. yum. cherries, chocolate?

T/M - flavor explosion. perfectly well balanced malt. not overly sweet but it's still a dobblelbock, so it's there.

O - def could have gone for some frothy head on this, but maybe it's aged a bit...however the flavor profile is exactly what you want out of a doppelbock. noms
