“Without sway, there can be no balance.” Our Double IPA gracefully boasts grapefruit rind, pineapple and honeysuckle notes with a hint of earthy forest floor. Behold the wonder!

Had this on 2015-08-13 in Columbia, PA from a completely fresh 12oz bottle. And again on 2016-06-29 from a completely fresh 16oz can.

A - Clear golden-orange with a 1.5-finger white head that fades pretty quickly leaving mild-moderate lace.

S - Bold aromas of resinous hops, overly-ripe pineapple, grapefruit, pine, light spice, moderately dank. Very nice

T - Hop forward, ripe pineapple, grapefruit and orange flesh and zest, honey, plenty of pine, biscuit, white pepper, sweet onion. The alcohol is well-disguised. Finishes with plenty of lingering bitterness but also complexities of hop spice and malt/fruit flavors.

M - Medium body and light-medium carbonation. Resinous, prickly.

O - A very well-done DIPA. Complex presentation of various hop flavors. Nice.

Wow. Excellent imperial IPA. Heavy hop, but not sharp; piney, fruity smooth. A favorite.

Clear, pale gold appearance with a large off white head that left good lacing. Resinous aroma dotted with citrus. Dank, piney flavor that steers clear of the hazy trend. Pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Nicely carbonated, full-to-medium bodied mouthfeel with a good handle on the abv. Very enjoyable.

Enjoyed a couple of snifters at the Crust and Craft in Rehoboth Beach, DE 7-26-23 for $7.

Beer was served golden with an okay white head.

Nose was nice, citrus fruit forward but not super pungent.

Taste was nice. Lighter malt base displayed a nice array of hoppy fruit flavor including grapefruit, orange, with a touch of strawberry. Finishes with a piney hope note; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.

Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied and both refreshing and smooth.

Overall a very enjoyable DIPA.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, and a Mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a malty-sweet, floral, and a piney-hoppy bitter finish. As it warms, that piney-bitter bite becomes a bit more prominent. This is clean and tasty...pretty good!

A bid, two-inch puffy white head gradually recedes, never actually fading. Tons of thick dense lace cling to a substantial mug. The beer itself is clear golden amber (SRM 5-7) with a honey glow.

Strong floral pine emanates from the mug with lightly toasted caramel malt following. Slight warmth brings sweet honey and orange zest.

The bitterness is pleasantly strong and controlled by light to moderate sweetness. Orange marmalade and light pine resin fill the mouth. The finish is strong and lingering with a solitary focus on the hops. With warmth comes more bitterness that never dominates. the malt also builds with caramel.

The texture is creamy, smooth, and the body is full to medium. Alcohol is precisely as expected, although there is no heat or harshness. Neither is there any astringency. The carbonation is soft.

Nimble Giant is a very welcome old school, East Coast IPA. I am enjoying this one out back on a mid-September afternoon after listening to the Yankees. Everything, including this beer, is green and lush in the quiet summer air.

Tröegs is one of those larger regional breweries that still remains exciting. I see things like this that I’ve been meaning to try for quite some time, and it’s nicely to finally try it. Let’s see just how nimble this giant is

Pours a clear amber gold with 3 fingers of rocky off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing

The nose here is just classic, balanced DIPA I’m picking up on aromas of red grapefruit, caramel malt, orange marmalade, floral hops, sweet honey, white pepper, and light booze

It’s similar in taste and it’s very solid. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting grapefruit zest, orange juice, bready malt, wildflower honey, resinous hops, and caramel. The swallow brings notes of orange marmalade, resinous hops, caramel malt, grapefruit zest, floral hops, and light perfumey alcohol

A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth yet crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry with a firm bitterness

This is pretty great stuff. Super old school but it hits that itch when needed

Pours a copper color with good white head. The smell is of hops and pineapple. The taste is of hops with just a tinge of pineapple that reminds me of Kona's Gold Cliff beer only this Imperial IPA is more to my liking. Must be because of the stronger ABV.

For what I was expecting this was super on point. Viscerally bitter, great feel. Definitely the best ipa from Troegs I've had. Perpetual and Lollihop were let downs to me but this one stood out better
