A random stop for us after lunch (or in my case, recharging my battery). While BevMo's selection may not have the rare collection of beers as Beer Revolution, it does serve a purpose. Filled with wines, spirits, foodstuffs, and beers, BevMo fills the spectrum that Beer Revolution decided to ignore. A decent collection of glassware, and beers from Rogue, Ballast point, 21st Amendment, Ass Kisser, and many others fills the shelves. The condition of the beers was alright, some in good shape, some a little past their sell-by dates. Andre was happy when he spotted the Rogue Voodoo Bacon Maple Ale, and then he decided to buy some caviar. As is the case with many BevMo's, it's an acceptable store to find craft beers.

Although its one of the bigger BevMos in the Bay Area, it has the worst beer selection that I have seen. It is arranged like most of BevMos, English aisle, German aisle, Mexican, etc. with the most space occupied by American micro/macros. While nothing excessively rare can be found, there is a decent selection from around the world and some west coast highlights, like Drakes and Half Moon Bay beers. Quite far away from the beers there are some coolers in the back with a fair selection of singles and bombers.
Not the best for the Bay Area, but probably the best in Oakland.

I thought this was a pretty cool place. I got to go there, when I was visiting family with my girlfriend. It was a great selection of wines, liquors, sodas, and specialty foods. One of the sodas I was fortunate to grab was Fukola Cola. Yeah, the only thing about that soda that was cool was the name, but I digress. They had a great selection of 6ers, but the singles selection was smaller. Not to say they didn't have some pretty good stuff though. I was able to find plenty of local brews that I can't find here in the southeast. Staff was fairly nice, helped me out in finding local brews in the store.
