Love this place! Super chill, a little hippie-ish and dirty. Very spacious inside, plenty of tables, billiards, shuffleboard.. fun.

10 taps of house beers, including Pudd' Head stout, Tropicalia IPA (Aussie Summer), Dirty DIPA (collaboration with Sweetwater), Hell for Society stout, Vanilla in Hell, Gingerbread Brown...

As for food, we had the burger deal, $10 for a burger and beer. Great Brasstown local grass-fed beef, cooked perfectly rare, plus garlic fries and an array of sauces.

Beers were very good, service was warm and quick and the burger was outrageous. Reasonable prices. Loved the ambience as well and can't wait to return in my visit to the ATL.

Twain's has been a go to place for me. The brewmaster always has a trick up his sleeve and leaves me happy and please with his new creations. Twain's has pool tables and shuffle board, but quite frankly I have never used any of them.

My favorite things to order are the Garlic Fries and Honey Garlic Wings from the menu. The beer selection always reaches out to different pallets and pleases me every time I am there.

Recently, I had my 30th Birthday there and was not let down by the brews that were-a-stering.

Twain's is my local spot that I try to make it to at least once a quarter to see what the Brewmaster has in store.

stopped into Twain's after dinner at Leon's and more beer at the Brick Store, both walkable to this spot.

interesting place - more of a pool hall than anything - tons of pool tables, a few shuffleboard tables, some odd arcade games as well. There was also some (bad) live music going on.

Oh yeah, it's also a brewpub. Pretty brief list - I went for the IPA, which was fine, but not noteworthy.

There are also some bad tv's and a sense that this was probably once a very smokey poolhall.

Odd place, i would stick to the brickstore.

I go here from time to time, as it is the closest brewpub to me, by far.

Overall selection is fairly good, and they do have a list of everything they carry. I pretty much just drink their in-house stuff when I go there, though. It's usually pretty solid, if not spectacular, and it's about the same price as their domestic bottles, a nice deal.

The food is hit or miss. I recommend the fish and chips, though.

The service is fine.

The atmosphere (solidly on the hipster side of things) doesn't do it for me, personally, and keeps me from going there more often. However, that is totally a personal preference issue, so I can't dock them for that.

Overall, it's a pretty good spot for beer lovers in the area.

Visited Twain's on the first night of my spring break with my girlfriend. We ordered the fries appetizer (with sriracha mayo), the beer sampler, a 21st Amendment Brew Free or Die, the mussels, and a Saisson DuPont

Let me start out by saying that I did not enjoy a single beer they offered in their sampler. I felt bad because I hate to trash a place like this, but there was nothing good about it. Their Rye beer tasted like I was drinking bacon. The fact that that I didn't like that tells me this is not the place for me.

The service and food was good though. The bartenders were friendly, though not the quickest to refill our glasses.

The mussels were tremendous and complemented our Siasson wonderfully. This was the first time I had mussels (you're welcome, Megan) and I think it was a great plae to start.

Overall, their guest beers selection is pretty good and I would go back for them, but I do not see myself ever ordering another one of their house brews.

This was my first every day bar as I began my beer journey in life and what can you say but, You always have a special love for your first spot.

Service is top notch. The bartenders remember you by face and name after just a few visits. Yet they also know your ways. I dont think I ever asked for a beer there in my life unless it was to try some thing I didnt normally have.

Atmosphere is relaxed and complex all at the same time. A great multi purpose seating arrangement through out the various spaces of this place.

The food it by far the absolute best bar food I have ever had. Their cooks are sensational and the portions are substantial for the price you pay which is far better than reasonable.

The selection does seem to lack a bit, but what they offer is what is popular for that region of Atlanta.

Overall, a great friendly place to have a Brew.

Love this place.... Love their fresh-brewed beer... love their food... love the service. The ONLY complaint I have with Twain's is the lack of a large craft/import selection. Don't get me wrong, I have never been disappointed with their house brews. And they DO have a handfull of bombers, singles, and visiting beers on draught. However, I just wish they had a larger selection. EVERYTHING else about this place is nearly perfect. Thanks to all of the management and staff of Twain's for the amazing food and fresh beer... I will see you all again very soon!

I've been to Twains numerous times and sampled lots of their offerings from both menus so why I havent done this review yet is beyond me.

The place is pretty standard for a brewpub - bar, dining area, patio and the added bonus of games and stuff. Live bands weekly and a nice location off the Decatur square, going to Twains is never a bad idea

Beer wise, again, pretty standard for a brewpub. Some really nice hits (XL DIPA), some disappointments (Belgian Black) and some nice standards to come back to (Mad Happy). Their beer is always fresh and priced well, with a couple of rotating bottles and a few dozen bottles offered (a lot of crap macros that they sell a ton of too). Bar service has always been attentive, but I have had slow service in the dining area a few times.

The one thing that has always disappointed me is the food. Not sure why, I mean I go here for the beer, but maybe just being in Decatur I expect some pretty good food to go with it. Have tried a few things and never came away impressed by anything other than maybe the wings.

Probably not the most glowing review, I'll admit that, but I still really enjoy visits to Twains. A great stop in the Decatur beer scene.

Updated to lower some scores: half of the taps are now guest, I could have sworn it used to be Guinness and just one other guest. Truthfully, the lineup that is available has been weak - not un-drinkable by any means, just very average. Service has been downright rude on occasion. Its getting harder to spend my time and money there. The score may seem low, but its an average brewpub with some questionable service - a C is about right in my book.

I have been to Twain's numerous times over the years, as it changed from smokey pool hall to brew pub (with half the pool tables). It has been a welcome change, in my book. Atmosphere is very diverse, since it is not a brew pub alone, it pulls in the billiard crowd and the other younger BMC drinkers. The place itself is much nicer after the remodeling. I have enjoyed a number of the beers they offer, and have been impressed by and large. They normally have a fairly nice mix of their brews, a couple guest taps, and as previously stated all the BMCs. Service is pretty good, but don't expect a the same beer knowledge you might encounter at all brew pubs, its definitely a mix. Food is good (I have not been to a dinner, but need to). I almost did not include a rating for it, as I have only eaten there twice, and both times had what amounted to standard pub fare. In the end, Twain's is a nice stop on any beer visit to Decatur, they have a few beers that will really impress, and makes a nice stop at the end of your swing through town.

I visited the place on a Tuesday evening. There was a decent crowd, not crowded but it definately grew by the time that we left. Nice long bar, very spacious and a good number of tables to eat at. The atmosphere could be better, but the night that we went there were a bunch of kids running around and that is generally not something that I look for when I am going out to get a few beers.

I think the night that we went they had 7 beers or so on tap, plus Guiness. My wife got a sample of all the beer and for the most part, all were well done, some more than others, but that is expected. I tried the Bullfrog IPA, which I thought was a solid beer. They probably had 5 different styles that night. Our service that night was not good. Our waitress forgot some of our food and drink orders and when were going to leave, she was not to be found.

The food was very good. We had the fish & chips and some chicken wings and both were done really well.

Overall, Twain's is a solid place and for $3 for a 12oz, it is a good deal. I will be back.
