Arrived a reddish-amber. Thin head to allow more beer in the glass and it fell to a thin cap and ring.
Hop aromas hit first. Muted grapefruit and earthy hops. Fruity malts with aromas of fresh bing cherries.
Hops hit first in the taste, but not too in-your-face. The hops are citrusy/earthy. They almost seemed toned down, but still quite flavorful. Toasted malts with the bing cherries really help balance the hops.
Thinnish body. Doesn't coat the mouth at all. Small bubbles in the carbonation.
Very drinkable. Good flavors and decent enough perceived alcohol to drink a few of and still stand upright.
I like the flavors of this enough for this to be my first choice next time I go back.

On-tap at the brewpub. No aroma perhaps bleach in cup. Fuggle hops and roastiness, cloudy orange. High carbonation. Bitterness finishes with bitterness and sweet. Like a double red. This was called an India Red, so perhaps the hops have been turned up here.Drinkable.

Had this on tap at Twain's
A - Poured into a shaker pint and served a dark amber with deep red highlights with a nice tightly formed white head that formed to a finger and a half and fell slowly leaving a good sticky lace down the glass
S - A big citrus hops smell coming from the glass is quite inviting
T - Has a citrus hop bite up front and then mellows out to a biscuit malt taste and then finishes off with a grassy hop bite that leaves a lingering satisfying bitterness on the palate
M - A good feel to this..not too thick or thin and the carbonation was pretty much spot on
D - A very drinkable brew..if you're in Twain's I suggest you try it out..their brew master is making some beers there worthy of respect

The color is more golden than red, but it still says "Drink me! I taste good!" Smell is hoppy. The taste is hoppy but not too bitter, and the ale itself is very smooth and crisp. This is one beer I will have to try again, to see if I pick up any undertones in the flavor. Even if the flavor is not complex, it is a very drinkable brewski.
