Great local craft beer from Nashville, TN, which I think should have been rated at least a 90, but such is life. Excellent IPA.

Honey and copper hued body; decent head, initially thick, settles into a dense, sudsy film with lots of clinging sheets of lacing inside the glass. Fine aroma of sweet caramel sugars with a bit of pine resin note. The taste follows the aroma; malty with some crisp, honey-like sweetness; well-balanced hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; gentle crispness and bite on the palate; relatively dry overall at the finish.

A damn fine IPA, nicely balanced and very tasty.

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear copper with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had tangerine and touch of pine. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical fruit peel presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass. 'Best Before Date' marked as end of July, 2017.
Dark amber clear body, three finger slightly off white head settles to thick cap with lots of lacing.
Aroma is of caramel malt and faded citrus hops, a whiff of pine.
Taste is still strong, sweet then citrus/floral and then bitter pine. Late taste brings in caramel malt.
Medium, slightly sticky mouth feel.
A solid old school, higher ABV IPA. This one is likely showing its age a bit, obtained in a trade.

Holding true to the original intent of American ale, Blackstone flirts with imperial status with an IPA that showcases the Chinook hop proudly. A throwback to the ingredients, techniques and balance to craft beer's early years provides a refreshing departure from a crowded hop market.

Adam Bomb blasts the senses with the piquant citrus spice from hops with a peppery twinge and a strong pine component. Light amber in color, the beer's light haze and pillowy froth shows an appetizing appearance. Honey and caramel splash the front of the tongue with a strong granola presence as the beer starts off sweet from malts.

Lightly toasted and with its sweetness receding, the showcase of aggressive hops show a strong citrus taste of grapefruit, oranges and lemon, all seeming of the under ripened variety. Citronella oils cast a succulence on the middle palate before trending dry, herbal and sharply bitter. Laced with the botanical quality of muddled pine needles, the finish is boldly grassy, peppery and strongly bittered even more.

Medium full on the palate, its light malt profile suggests a more dry and drinkable tone. However, the amount of malt gives the beer a rich support for those oftentimes bullyish hops. Its firm grip on the gullet is unwavering and indefinite. Leading deeply into the next sip, the IPA provides a glimpse into the early study of stronger IPA like Pliny the Elder and Stone Ruination.

Color is golden and clear, like apple juice. Nose hints at the presence of hops. The taste and finish are both very dry, unfortunately it decreases the hop flavor. Decent beer.
