Excited to try the latest addition to the Two Brothers family (and add it to BeerAdvocate)! This can was brewed 9 days ago, $10/6pack, poured into a Bell's tulip glass.
A: Clear and light-yellow body, eggshell-white head of 2 or 3 fingers, good retention, some lacing.
S: Not overly aromatic, a touch of fruit hops, likely from the galaxy hops, some pine and grassy notes in addition to a little citrus and strawberry.
T: Along with the nose, some subtle hop flavor with an easily-palatable taste. Good malt background. Nothing jumps out, in a good or bad way. A touch of bitterness.
M: Very smooth, a nice light to medium body, perfect carbonation, a little dry, nice mouthfeel.
O: I would love to take a case of this tailgating. Perfect drinkable APA without much heaviness, good taste, easy to throw back several. Not sure what makes it an extra pale ale, but as far as APAs go it does fairly well. Better than Outlaw, thats for sure!

This is pretty tasty for an apa. Very bright. Very citrus-forward. Tweaks in the mouth, on the flavor. Feel is good, though the bubbles are nibbling a bit much on my tongue. Nice to be able to try this one. It would appeal to the hopheads, I am sure.

Not too overly impressed with this offering and website doesn't help, but really doesn't seem like a pale ale. Looks too light like in a golden light the head is light and fizzy. I'm thinking blonde. Wish the webside gave some idea about what extra means.
Aroma is the best thing about this beer and there is barely any to begin with. A very faint aroma of earthy and floral hops.
Taste is light and refreshing but also lacks in flavor and body. There barely is any malts and hops. Hops are lean but fresh malts balance well. Finishes course on the palate and ends fry and bitter.
If there was some other beer in the cooler I would consider them before sidekick XPA

Pours a soap, resiny white head that laces nicely up my glass. Nice notes of grapefruit hoppiness, with a floral characteristic, too. Clear, golden hue. Starts bitter with notes of pine and grapefruit. Transitions into a nice malty body, which blends well in the finish to make a pleasant hoppy biscuit flavor.
Overall, this is very, very good. It's hoppy, pleasantly bitter, and masterfully balanced with malt.
The ultimate Session Pale Ale. It has quickly become my primary session brew.
