375ml from the recent release into a tulip.
A: Pours a golden-yellow body with a dense but small white head.
S: Lots of unmalted wheat and herbal esters in the nose. Banana and cloves, cream.
T: Follows the nose with plenty of wheat notes and fruity esters. Stone fruit, raw wheat, cloves, cakey pale malt. Light alcohol warmth on the end.
M: Medium-bodied with creamy carbonation.
O: Essentially a strong hefeweizen, which isn't quite a bad thing, but is sort of odd when you're calling it a "Barley Wine Style Weiss Beer."

Pours a fairly clear amber color. Almost no head, but what is there is white. Some carbonation bubbles rising in the glass.
The nose is a very caramel aroma. Not too sweet, but somewhat sweet.
Taste - Interesting. Caramel, but there's another flavor that mixes in with it, but I just can't nail it down. Almost a tart flavor, but so light.
Full bodied, but not boozy feeling. Yes, I know it's strong, but it's not "hot". Fairly smooth.
Fun beer to drink. Wouldn't mind trying a fresh one, to see the differences.

Corked and caged 12.7oz bottle poured into a snifter. Been sitting in my basement for last 4 years since purchase. I have one more to sit on longer.
A- Pours a hazy amber with very little head. Yeast particles and fizzy bubbles are noted throughout the glass.
S- Sweet astringency in the nose, if that makes any sense. Not much here.
T- Sweet caramel opens up to some clove and an almost rye like spiciness.
M- Medium bodied, easy to drink though the alcohol is noted.
This is a respectable wheatwine. Unfortunately I didn't drink one fresh to compare, as this is over 4 years old.

L: Pours hazy amber under a ½” cream colored foam collar that gradually reduces to a thick, sticky film. S: Fruit smells tropical, guava or perhaps apricot spiced with clove and coriander. T: White bread, tropical fruit, coriander, clove banana, citrus, with a moderate hop accent. F: Medium to medium full body, medium low carbonation O: this has more wheat character than the 2011. Good Wheatwine.

Pours deep golden with some sediment. Little head.
Light caramel and honey in the nose. Some floral notes.
Medium body with more light honey. More fruity caramel notes some light grape characters. Hints of alcohol but it has mellowed from what I would have initially thought. Low carbonation with some yeast phenolic a and acetone. A sipper but easily sipped upon.
Chewier as It warms. More bready atributes. No hops to speak of but some spicy character. A tasty wheat wine for sure. I am not sure what a longer aging process would yield but this tasty and perfect for a cold night
