Appearance-Pours into the snifter a lovely orange-amber with, very cloudy and hazy. A surprising amount of light-creme coloured head gives rise and slowly recedes as I drink, leaving dollops of lace and abundant legs arond the rim. Looks beautiful.
Aroma-Interesting, I get a lot of those banana/bubblegum hefeweizen notes right off the top; not entirely what I was expecting but very nice. Other fruity notes include aromas reminiscent of tangerine, dates and apricots. There's a distinct Belgian-edque spicy edge to the aroma as well with hints of honey rounding everything out.
Taste-First off, the ABV is absolutely invisible; 100% undetected. The first flavor that hits is a dry, distinct spiceyness followed by the sane big Hefeweizen notes noted on the aroma. This is followed by a sweetened carmelly maltiness but it's rather restrained and serves as a blanket for more fruity notes to come forward; apricots and pears come to mind. What follows is a short twang of honeylike sweetness that is quickly muted short by a bone dry spicey finish.
Mouthfeel-Medium bodied leaning towards the fuller end of the specturm with a moderate level of prickly carbonation. This is fine as a more syrupy body wouldn't fit this brew so well.
Overall-This is a very tasty and unique brew, the wheat/weizen characteristics brought a whole new kind of dimension to the table. I haven't been that impressed by Wheatwines as a style but this one really opened my eyes to what can be done with them. An excellent beer.

Shared by cmrillo during BRoss242’s send-off party before he moves! Will miss you man! 2010 Vintage! Served from bottle into a Mikkeller taster flute. Poured yellow-orange with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, caramel, caramel hop, and fruit. The flavor was of sweet malt, caramel, caramel hop, fruit, wood, and dark fruit. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. I really did not know what to expect from this one going into it, but was decently surprised with the flavor as it was quite enjoyable. The rest of the beer was good for the style, but didn’t really stand out. The touch of wood and dark fruit on the flavor was really what took this one to the next step compared to the aroma. Wouldn’t mind trying some other stuff from Two Brothers in the future based on this brew.

Thanks to Gary for picking this up for me on this travels, been holding onto this for awhile!
12.7oz bottle, caged and corked.
Pours a golden orange color, not much of a head and fades fast, no lacing, first pour had little sediment floating around.
Smell is full of yeasty beasty aromas, lots of light spicing as well, maybe coriander and clove, light fruity esters waft into the nose, slight funk to it which is a nice turn.
Taste has a nice balance of flavors, tons of interesting spicing is thrown at the taste buds yet none overpower the others, hint of sourness even plays a part, an old hop bitterness tries to cling around in the aftertaste, a nice amount of carbonation lends a creamy mouthfeel that is neither too sticky or sweet, there is no way this is 11.3% because there is not even the slightest hint of heat or alcohol.

Been sitting on this bottle for a while, finally getting around to drinking it. Tasted 10 August 2012, reviewed from notes.
Pours medium amber, mostly clear, but with loads of little floaties despite a gentle pour. Big fizzy whitish head, decent retention and lacing.
Smell is big on the yeast, and with a strong wheaty-sweet aroma in the background. Quite potent, but smooth, gentle, and rounded.
Taste pops out much more, with a burst of light berry sweetness which gradually fades into a drying-out soft alcohol flavor. That sounds weird, but it's actually quite nice - smooth progression from medium-light and sweet to light and dry.
Mouthfeel is buoyant and fuzzy, with a lasting alcohol coating on the tongue.
Tasty wheatwine. Good all-around, though nothing about it really stands out. In the future, I think I'd share a bottle rather than drinking it all myself, as it got a bit old by the end.

A-I took great effort to pour this one so as not to rouse the yeast but there are little specks suspended in the beer anyways (could be hop particles). Pours a clear orange color with a very small white head that dissipates quickly.
S-I'm getting that skunky green bottle hop smell from this one and it doesn't really fade. Also, some rich barley and nutty wheat hints.
T-Rich nutty wheat with a bit of clove and banana.
M-Very smooth and full-bodied with pretty low carbonation.
D-While a departure from every other wheat-wine I've had; this one is solid on its own merits with the one exception being the poor choice of green bottle which leads to an undesirable note in the aroma.

I went to brunch at a local establishment (Owen and Engine) and tried several beers. I'm starting with the last, first.
This is the 2010 version, they must have cellared a keg. From my perspective, it only made it better.
When the server brought the 10oz tulip glass, I saw a hop hazed dark orange brew with about an inch of dense white foam. This dropped to about 1/4 of an inch and stayed that way through to the end, with lots of lacing and legs on the glass. A good whiff brought out the huge fruit smell. Lots of banana; followed by pear, apricot, clove and some black pepper. Tastes like it smells, with a sweet intensity that lasts through the draught, and caramel and malt. I really didn't get any bitterness, just balance, and you wouldn't know this had any alcohol except for the warm feeling as it slides down your throat. My wife, who doesn't like beer in general, stated "she could drink this." I didn't let her, of course, someone had to drive home.
I liked this beer. A great example of a wheatwine, and if you can find, or have, a bottle of the 2010, cellar it for a while longer.

Served in a 16 oz. snifter.
A- Honey in color with small debris particles. 3" of off-white head and tons of lacing.
S- Wow not what I expected from a wheatwine! Heavy dose of banana and clove, some breadiness and sweet malts.
T- Again very weiss heavy. Bananas, cloves, dark fruits, sweet malts.
M- Full bodied with some creaminess at the finish. Huge amount of carbonation.
O- Different from any wheatwine I have had. Way more Weiss heavy and less wheat/barley wine centric. Enjoyed it but not running out to find more.

Reviewed from notes 09/13/11.
Pours a rich, cloudy orange with small head and medium retention. Smells skunked, kind of like Heineken. Very catty/musty/funky, unfortunately not in the good way. Stayed that way as it warmed. I love Two Bros. but damn that smell is awful. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, good carbonation levels. Taste is mostly wheat followed by a little alcohol warmth and grassy hops. Taste has absolutely nothing reminiscent of the smell oddly enough. This is my first wheatwine ever and while very interesting, probably not something I'll drink two often.
