Pours a deep mahogany with a half inch light tan head that fades quickly to a sticky ring and skim coat, and leaves one thick ring of lace behind.

Smell is sweet, with notes of caramel and what I can only guess is the Thai palm sugar. There is also some toasted bread, spice, and a hint of floral and piny hops. The hops become stronger as it warms.

Taste begins with some caramel and apricot flavors, reminiscent of a barleywine. Toasted bread and spicy rye mingle with some brandy flavors and a hint of alcohol. Finishes with some bitter, piny hops.

Mouthfeel is on the full side of medium-bodied. It is almost syrupy, but there's is plenty of lively carbonation.

Definitely quite drinkable, and I wish I had more of these to enjoy.
