Appearance: Pours with a vibrant head of about three fingers. Sticky lacing left behind with each drink. The color is a transparent burnt orange. Active carbonation is very low for the style.
Smell: Piney, bitter hops mesh well with a caramel, syrupy malt aroma on the front. Significant vegetal, earthy hops really shine on the body and consume the aroma. Flowery hops with a twinge of tropical hops evens out the back end.
Taste: Light floral notes greet the drinker. Some subtle bright fruits and sweet, caramelized malts open up but don't dominate the palate. Piney, resinous hops settle in on the back end with accents of mango, papaya, and grapefruit riding along.
Mouthfeel: A very balanced brew, pretty much what I expect from Two Brothers hoppy beers. Carbonation could be a touch higher.
Overall: A really solid offering from Two Bros. Has the same feeling and malt backbone I've come to expect from their hoppy beers. If the malt profile was dialed back a touch so the Chinook could shine brighter that would have been nice but this is still certainly worth a go.

Pours a hazy, golden orange with a thin, white head. Plenty of lacing. Smell of candied citrus, pine, malt. Taste is bitter hop with candied citrus and pine with plenty of malt. A crisp pine resonates for a while. Feel in thinner and crisp.

12oz bottle coded (Chinook 2647 09:14) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp 6.7% ABV 65 IBU. The beer pours bright light honey amber in color with sticky off white head. Retention and lacing are well above average. The aroma light citrus, pine and caramel malt. The taste is hoppy caramel malt. There is a hint of citrus and pine but it is very subtle. Mouthfeel is thin bodied, well carbonated and dry in the finish. Overall, good. I've not had this one in two years. It used to be a great value wet hop beer, but there is more competition now. Enjoyable single, glad I didn't get six.

Look: Pours a solid gold, with a slight haze. The 1 finger head sticks around and the lacing is exceptional.
Smell: Is this an IPA? Smells of brown sugar, dulce de leche, and malt. A slight resinous scent wafted from the bottle upon the initial pour, but I kept searching for it again to no avail.
Taste: Just like the smell, all malt. It's a wonderful tasting beer, but it doesn't really stay true to the style. Or at least how I expect American IPAs to be.
Feel: Medium to low carbonation. A bit watery.
Overall: Again, a tasty beer. I make no regrets picking this up. However, it is overly malty and I was disappointed at the lack of bitterness to balance this beer.

I didn't dislike this beer at all, but I would not have known it is an IPA if I hadn't read the label. Easy to drink, pleasant, but not nearly as hoppy as I think an IPA should be.

Pours a hazy dark orange with 1 finger head. Smells light on aroma considering wet hopped with a touch a malt sweetness. Tastes balanced. Minor bitterness with a small malt finish.

hazed rusty orange with a pillowed head of dirty white that leaves some artistic lacing. smell is a little muted, but definitely chinook hops and a good deal of fairly toasty malt. flavor and feel are both easygoing, and I wonder if this at all reflects the age of the bottle which is unknown, but probably a few months or so based on the fall release info. this one might benefit from a gentle poor as there was very little carbonation left after a firm one. the finish is surprisingly mellow, with much less detectable bitterness than the pilsner I had earlier. overall, a relaxing and enjoyable beer that could possibly use more late addition and dry hopping or the seeking out of an ultra-fresh specimen next year.

Third and final review in this series. This beer pours crimson red with an average head. The aroma leads with a woodsy, umami scent, as well as a bit of pine. The flavor has some zingy pine and citrus, as ell as the woodsy note present in the aroma. The bitterness is very subtle here, but the beer remains balanced. The mouthfeel is fairly standard. Overall this is a very nice relaxing IPA. If I were to rank the three single hop heavy handed I would go 1. Centennial, 2.Chinook, 3.Cascade. Good series.

The most bitter of the three. Fairly bitter, sets off the malt profile nicely. Not much else in the way of flavor from the hops though. Just bitter.
This was my favorite version of the 3 different Heavy Handed Wet Hopped IPA's. My biggest problem with them was that it did not taste like a wet hopped beer in any way. It tasted like a regular dry hopped off the shelf IPA. For this reason, I just could not rate them any higher. It was decent enough, but just did not stand out or hold true to what it claimed to be.
Would not revisit. Interesting as a one and done, but that is all.
