Hand-pulled pint into a Cotleigh badged UK sleeve in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 17 July 2013.
Light amber body, bright and clear: an off-white head sat on top.
Malty and biscuity in both the nose and taste: well flavoured for a beer with such a low alcohol level. The hops come into their own towards the end of each gulp giving a bitter yet floral finish to the beer.
Nicely balanced and easy to drink, even if it doesn't have a deep body depth, nor any different or challenging behaviour.

The liquid is somewhat hazy; the colour is gold-yellow. The low head is compact and white.
The smell is very light. Some hints of smoke and rye bread.
The taste got a light earthy flavour, some fresh hops and a touch of iodine. The aftertaste is light too. Some fresh bitter flavours with hoppy hints. I also noted some beef stock and rye cookies.
The carbonation is mild to medium, small bubbles. The liquid is a bit watery.
Unbalanced and possibly lightly infected, although the staff at the well respected beer bar Akkurat insisted that this beer was in perfect condition.
