Best liquor store in the area and there are quite a few. The staff is always helpful and some seem to be into the craft beer scene which helps when I ask for a recommendation. All of the times I have called or asked about certain beers I gotten honest answers and sometimes some good conversations.
The selection is pretty good no matter what you are looking for; be it glassware, wine, beer, spirits or ingredients for cocktails. The store is clean, well lit, with fresh products, two registers when it is busy, and a large open parking lot. The prices are very good for craft beer compared to the other stores in the area and they have a rack with loose beers that would really help anyone that is "ticking".
Definitely worth your time if you are in the area.

it's location in Porter County keeps this place from being a weekly stop of mine, but i find my way here often enough. there is a nice selection of both warm and cold products. many indiana craft beers and an import selection that highlights some great British and German choices. prices aren't bad, store is clean and products are well displayed. never had a problem with the service, but never really needed it here either. it's probably the best outlet for the "good stuff" in Porter County.

This place is one of the better beerstores I have found in the area, so far. As this area goes they have a better than average selection of craft beers, Indiana breweries are well represented. Some of the beers I noted were from Dark Horse, Flying Dog, Sam Adams, Barley Island, Upland, Oaken Barrel, Three Floyds, Abita, Goose Island, and Pyramid.
They also have a number of quality imports including many from Germany, England, and more from other parts of Europe.
The place is staffed by friendly and helpful people. The store is clean, well lit and has a huge parking lot.
If youre in the area and are craving some good brew this could be a place worth trying.

Probably the best selection to find in Porter County. It's on my way home from work so I stop in there quite frequently. They have a decent selection of micros, quite a few from the midwest. They also have a nice selection of single bottle imports and you can usually find Chimay and Duvel there no problem. Some of the beer sits around for too long, and other times it gets gobbled up real fast. I was lucky enough to come in the day they got Breakfast Stout and I grabbed a sixer, it was gone within a few days. Worth visiting if you are in the area, they have one of the best selections of Back Road Brewery beers as well.

Located not too far from Valparaiso University, Godfather's seems to cater to the college crowd. From the outside the store seems pretty big, but the beer selection is average. An array of Midwest and other popular micros can be found, in addition to various imports. Nothing too extraordinary, but works in a pinch, as something of interest I'm sure could be found. Coolers were mostly stocked with macros and popular imports. Their prices seemed a bit above average on certain items. Both sales clerks looked bored out of their minds.
