Review from Notes
S: All around strong citrus and pine notes, dare I say almost like a particular herb.
A: Very nice golden appearance with excellent lacing.
T: Strong resin aftertaste with notes of citrus. All hops with nothing else coming through.
M: Extremely smooth with a bit of coarseness at the end.
O: This was an excellent IPA. This review made it so that a a ranking number appeared (88).

Slightly hazy, decent head retention.
Bready caramel malt, fairly grassy, resiny, muted citrus notes of mango and pineapple. Pretty sweet. Slightly dank.
Toasted malt overwhelms the flavor, fairly sweet, becomes resiny and bitter at the finish. Citrus is underlying, but overwhelmed by malt and bittering hops. Grapefruit pith, orange, and earthy hops emerge.
Pretty smooth body. Alcohol warmth isn't as much as expected.
Too bitter for my liking. Hop flavor is somewhat muted by malt and bittering hops.

Hugely drinkable strong DIPA. Handsome orange ambef color in the pint shaker. Modest foam. Warm and fragrant, and less sharp than lots of IPAs, but plenty tangy. This is just a great hop-- Galaxy seems to be fruity with some resiny taste, but not so outrageously bitter.
A spicy nose with hints of cardamom. Full rich flavor with plenty of malt, though the body is lighter than lots of big beers. The hops are just outstanding. Served in a pint at Pizza Port San Clemente. Yee-haw!

On tap at The Tap
Pours clear neon orange with a nice off-white foam cap and good retention. Lacing was excellent. Could not see through the glass after it was gone.
Smells like a tropical delight. I love Galaxy hops. Lots of papaya, mango, guava and pink grapefruit. A touch of malt bakbone, but the hops shine.
Nice initial flavor burst of lush tropical fruits. The perfect amount of malt creates a kind of candied fruit flavor of guava, mango and papaya. Finishes with more of a grapefruit presence and fairly dry and bitter. Grapefruit lingers on the back of the tongue.
Medium bodied with good carbonation. Very juicy and finishes with a nice candied bitterness. Alcohol is hidden well. Would not have guessed this ABV.
Nice effort to showcase one of the best hops around. Small malt bill and let the hops do their thing.

Growler poured into a pint
A pretty clear orange amber with a firm two finger off-white cap. Good retention with big sip marks coating the glass.
Galaxy hops leaping into the air. Huge tropical notes of mango, pineapple, papaya, guava, and ruby red grapefruit. The super clean malt bill is just an afterthought.
Clean malt slides in first before a burst of tropical goodness. Juicy mango and papaya with guava and pineapple poking through. Some ruby red grapefruit bitterness sweeps through, leading to a moderately bitter and dry finish with a little help from the rye.
Oily and resiny feel. Good carbonation, medium body. A little bit of rye, hoppy bitterness and light tropical fruit juice lingers.
A solid DIPA on all fronts. Simple, easy malt bill with a heavy hand of galaxy hops. Galaxy hopped beers continue to tickle me just the right way.
