A - Pours a cloudy orange\brown with a thin foam head that settles fast. Very slight carbonation, and minimal lacing.
S - Has a smell of fresh hop resin, and some peppery heat. Has a scent of freshly made salsa.
T - The tropical fruit sweetness pairs nicely with the spicy pepper notes. A mild hop presence tempers it slightly. This is very different from the base beer.
M - Very complex but the balance is a bit off. I wouldn't look to have more than one of these.
O - Fun to try this after having the original Raging Bitch recently. A beer that packs some heat and an interesting blend of fruit sugars.

Happy to get two 12 ounce cask pours of this brew at the Birdsal House in Peekskill, NY. Flying Dog event Jan. 2013
Arrives murky medium brown, next to no head or lace.
The nose is of green pepper, and hints of smoke.
This one arrives with a blast of hops and then a sustained blast of habanero pepper flavor and heat. Pretty sure this is the hottest chili beer I've tried.
Memorable and delicious IMHO, although folks who dont like all that heat will disagree. Very enjoyable and flavorful take on a favorite style.
Chili heads go get some and enjoy

The version that I was served was a single batch brewed for a beer event. I've had this one before, but according to the owner who attended the event, they brewed this one special with extra habanero. Like the regular Raging Bitch it is primed with Belgian candy sugar. They told me that this was dry hopped along with 30 grams of habanero and two whole Mangoes.
Pours exceptionally cloudy like a natural apple cider, almost no carbonation. Nose, gives a strong whiff of pepper. In the mouth, there is a strong pop of Habanero heat coupled with an underlying roasted pepper undertone. Wonderful balance...generally, pepper IPAs are an unpleasant competition between the hops and the pepper, but I think the choice of Belgian yeast and the use of less bitter hops keeps the flavors extremely well balanced. A dazzling example of a hot IPA.
