Had this in the tasting room over at the Brewery.

Looking at the beer you would think you were drinking a Berliner Weisse. It is a light straw color with a light wispy brilliant white head.

The first thing that came to mind when I got my first sniff was Eastern Shore MD. It smells like a fresh crab boil down on the bay. I got a lot of Old Bay in the nose right away. Also some notes of celery.

When the first taste hits your tongue your thrown back because of the saltiness that the old bay brings to the table. I did taste light hints of wheat in there as well but it was pretty well hidden by the old bay.

It was a light bodied beer with high levels of carbonation.

I drank mine while enjoying a slice of crab pizza and thought it paired prefect. I do think you have to love old bay to really enjoy a unique beer like this.

Pours a slightly hazy light blonde color with a small white fizzy head.

Aromas begin with some generic spices, maybe a little salt and peppery combo. Light pilsnery maltiness and a dash of lemon juice shows itself as it warms.

The tastes begin with the same semi-sourish melon and salty flavors. (Side note: This beer would be perfect with some seafood.) Some light clove spiciness and some semi sourish wheat and crisp pilsner maltiness.

Mouthfeel is light bodied with moderate carbonation. Finish is lightly tart, but not quite sour.

Overal I have not had too many gose but I can say that I enjoyed this beer. It wasn't packed with flavor or wasn't that distinctive overall but I enjoyed it for what it was. A food best consumed and enjoyed either on a warm day or with some light white meat or seafood. This one was certainly interesting, but I don’t think I’d want to consume multiple back to back or on a regular basis.

A: A hazy grapefruit color. Nice white head on top, but that quickly fades into the body of the beer.

S: Almost a hint of celery salt, followed by some malt sweetness.

T: Spicy, salty and a little tangy. Tastes a little Luke holiday spices mixed with celery salt. A hint of wheat there too. Very interesting.

M: Light, crisp, and quite refreshing. The carbonation is on the high side, but it works.

O: Overall a very interesting beer, one that i am glad i tried, but i am also glad i only got one. Not really my thing,i but interesting and new.

On tap at Max's today.

The beer pours a solid gold color with fairly good head retention and decent lacing. The nose is attractive and intriguing, as I pick up clove, salt and light vanilla. The flavor profile is replicated by nose, but is dominated by the clove and salt flavor. It's not bad, but I think the brewer was a bit heavy handed with the salt. The beer is fairly dry, with a hint of sweetness from the clove. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a fairly long, clove and spice finish. Alcohol is no more than an after thought, though I was surprised to see the abv. was only 4.5%.

Nice effort, but just not really my cup of tea.

Snagged a six pack of unlabeled bottles from a friend. Poured into a flying dog pint glass. I've never had a gose so I'm not really sure what to expect.

Appearance: Very pale straw and hazy. One finger white head with quick dissipation and no lacing.

Aroma: Kinda stumped on this one. Kinda smells like an old gym sock. Salty. Sweaty.

Taste: Starts out with some wheat and tart. Slight fruity sweetness. A big blast of Old Bay seasoning comes through the finish. Kind of undermines the whole beer. Interesting idea but not so sure it worked.

Mouthfeel: Medium body and carbonation. Long spicy and odd finish. Not much else to add. It's unique for sure but I have to say I don't really care for it.

Cloudy straw colored body with scattered lacing. Single finger head. very musty, French cheese, herbal and salty aroma. Additionally some wet sock hop notes. Flavor is more full than other gose I have had. A little lemon and cheese and again very herbal. Medium carbonation and light to medium body. Very interesting. Highly variable for the style. The old bay seasoning makes this very interesting and unique although it loses the Gose character by its addition.
