12 oz. poured into a pint glass
A: Quite bronze that pours a 3 inch head that dwindles to a remaining 1 inch head.
S: A much different IPA smell that is all citrus with something that I can't place but is very sweet smelling.
T: Mellow with a low but steady hop profile that is almost stronger in the aftertaste.
M: Smooth with almost no bubbles or mouth abrasion.
O: Nice for my first single hop varietal. The El Dorado may not be the IPA of promise and gold, but it is still a great IPA. I do prefer the Centennial single hop varietal from Flying Dog though.

Nice looking pour. Light amber with good clarity. Thick creme head. Nose is heavy pine and resin. Flavor is much of the same with a punch and burst of bright pine and woody tones. Earthy with a salty kind of thing on the back. Pretty smooth feel. A nice drinker. Even though it's consistent, I wouldn't say it's entirely balanced, since the flavor profile seems to lean to one side.

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a small snifter glass.
A: Pours a clear golden hue with a thin white head that quickly dissipates into a wispy lace with a partial trail down the sides.
S: Sweet malty aroma with some citrus notes.
T: Equal mix of sweet malt and bitter hops. Finishes on the dry side of tart.
M: Medium body and medium carbonation.
O: This was a well-balanced double ipa. Usually when an IPA goes imperial it loses some of the hoppy characteristics – but this tasted like a typical ipa only a little sweeter.

A: The beer is clear yellowish orange in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger and a half high off white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grapefruit and orange citrus are present in the nose. As the beer warms up, hints of alcohol also become detectable.
T: Similar to the smell, the overall taste is mostly citrusy with flavors of grapefruit and oranges. This is coupled with a light to moderate amount of bitterness and hints of alcohol.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of visible carbonation.
O: This beer has nice citrusy aromas and flavors, but the presence of alcohol is a somewhat detracting.
