Very pale with ok white head. Looks more like belgian pale than tripple.

Yeasty clovey, slight banana, sweet, with some alcohol to it.

Not a lot of taste. Pale malts with a hint of yeast to it. some alcohol and ok phenols. Just let down by lack of taste to it. Would not say this is a tripple but maybe saison or belgian pale.

Kinda weak all the way around. Glad it was only a 7oz

Review from 4/2010 notes. Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a nice cloudy orange color, small off-white dissipating head. Light and dark fruit and Belgian spice aroma. Belgian spice, fruit and light malt up front. Lightly spicy tripel finish. A decent American tripel. Medium bodied. I enjoyed drinking this. I'm Flying Dog isn't distributed in Washington any more.

12oz bottle poured into a Bruery tulip.

A - Pours a slightly hazed, yeasty orange color with a weak head that really amounts to little more than a loose collar. Light webs of lacing are left behind on the glass.

S - Smells pretty malty and yeasty - very bread like character. Hints of alcohol, mild hop presence and a touch of tartness that I wasn't expecting.

T - Much as the aroma - malty, bready with quite a bit of yeastiness, booze, fruity esters, and an even hop bitterness.

M - Fairly thin despite the malt balance. Carbonation is of a lower level and not particularly assertive.

O - Overall, just ok...doesn't stand out to me much at all. Actually rather disappointing...lacking the character I expect out of a tripel.
