Pours out a clear dark straw with a small white head.

Smell. Overall malty with a slight tartness. there is a small sweetness that reminds me of light brown sugar.

Taste. The flavor is initially hoppy with a noble hop character, with a little metallic bit that goes with it. But as it warms in my mouth, the malts that come out and reminds me like a vienna lager. Aftertaste has a bit of a spiceness to it.

Mouthfeel. Body is ok for a beer, but i think pretty off for the style, or at least others that call themselves bier de gardes. The carbonation is not a present as i wish it could be, and there is not enough alcohol to fill out the beer. But the body still seems to be ok as it does not feel empty, just different for the style.

Overall, biere de gardes usually remind me of something between a belgian ale (with lots of carbonation) and something like a czech pilz. This one just reminds me of a lager. I want more carbonation, more alcohol, and perhaps a little less hops. But with that being said, it's a decent beer to drink.

A nice slow pour into my over-sized wine glass delivered two fingers of very noisy foamy head. Body is a muted gold color, with a lot of fizz going on.

Yeast and spice scream at the nose. Smells of very earthy and gardeny hops, with slight breadiness and pepper.

Wheat, yeast and peppery spice start her off. This transitions with a spiced bread flavor into a grassy hop taste that ends with a bit of clove. Dry but has just a hint of sweet in between flavors.

This one is very drying, and leaves a bit of film on the tongue.
