Poured from the 8oz tiny bottle (so cute!) into a standard pint glass.
Appearance beer pours a solid yet clear orange with a fluffy finger and a half of head that slowly fades to a fine white murk across the top with a light green hint. Lacing is glued to the sides of the glass and I'm sure only a very hot wash will be getting that sticky lacing out. Tiny bubbles rise up from the bottom of the glass.
Smell- Grapefruit and ample citrusy hops a bit rusty and metallic, but the scent on this beer is still pleasant overall. Light lavender floral hops hide in the background and the malt still does it's work providing ample sweetness on the nose hairs.
Taste- This is very flavorful, clearly one of the best flying dogs I have ever had. Bitter grapefruit sweetened with ample malts, possibly even some light roasted malt in there for good measure. Yeast is hearty and contributes as well with a coating mouthfeel that only the best of the double IPA's have.
Mouthfeel- Medium high carbonated, mouth coating, nearly cloying but not quite, warming, and full bodied.
Drinkability- Great for an 8oz bottle, but I would be just fine with a 12oz or a pint if I wanted to go whole hog with this one, and I do!

Poured into a snifter.
A: Slightly hazy golden copper color with one-finger, foamy, creamy, off-white head that lasted a couple minutes and left a nice film. Fantastic lacing.
S: Caramel malt. Pine and citrus.
T: Moderate sweetness and moderate bitterness. Caramel malt, pine and citrus, like the nose. Alchohol was mostly unnoticable which was surprising.
M: Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Crisp and slightly dry.
O: A good imperial IPA. High ABV, but you couldn't tell from drinking it.
