bottle pours a 1/4inch head of tan. nice black thick beer. roast, dark chocolate and coffee come through the aroma all fairly light. this is a lovely balance of roasty dark flavors balanced with the sweetness of the porter. most of the time i dont enjoy porters as they are too sweet and not proportioned well against the roast malt. this is an excelent beer. there is just a hint of hot liquor on the throat. as it warmed the sweet, hot liquor, and some of the roast went away making this exceedingly drinkable for 7ish.
