355ml bottle poured into pint glass sept6 2009

A what ever color coke cola is with a half a glass of light tan head that left great lace with each sip and had good retention. The foam ended up as a 1/4 inch film with a little peak in the middle.

S dark malts with plenty of milk chocolate

T I expected a bit more but still not bad, lots of chocolate with a hint of coffee

M thinner then I would have liked, hoping for thick cream got skim milk

D not too bitter, easy too drink but not sure if I will buy again its a 20$6er here in Calgary

looked better then it was but not bad overall. Too bad the art and the writing on the bottle didn't affect the beer inside cause it would have been great if it did.

Appearance: It looks as expected. This beer dark reddish-brown with a bit of purple or fushia hint. Does not retain it's head.

Smell: Woody smell with a hint of cinnamon

Taste: A woody taste, like it smells, a bit fizzy. Complexity is just simple...the same throughout.

Mouth feel: Pretty easy to drink but not incredibly because of acidic coffee tase. Nothing amazing.

Basically a solid porter I would drink again because I like drinking local.

Poured from 12oz bottle into snifter a very dark brown with about an inch head which subsided rather quickly. Aroma was rather weak-slight chocolate. Mouthfeel is a light carb. Taste of coffee and toasted malt, there is a slight bitterness but it's pretty easy drinking. Average porter
