The appearance is a ruby brown color, and pours with a small head, which diminished rapidly. The smell is malty and nutty. The taste is much like the smell, malty and warms up as it goes down. The mouthfeel is nice, lightly carbonated and a little lighter than I would have imagined. Either way this beer is drinkable.

Those brown and dark red colors. Off white head 1/2". A lot more roast in the nose than I saw coming.
Taste, still more roast, coffee from the malt flavors. Nutty, caramel, toffee, coffee. Hopping is there too. A little dry finish. Not bad stuff. Assertive and bitter with all that other stuff going on. There's a bit of a scotch ale vibe going on underneath it all as well.
