Flying Dog has the Fear and Loathing theme down. Illustrations and bottle quotes correspond highly to my eagerness to drink this beer.

A - Golden and red.
S - Hops, hops and more hops with a slight hint of pine and citrus.
T - Notes of pine, grapefruit. The label said it was going to be very bitter yet I did not find this to be the case.
M - Nice and thick.
D - Easy-drinking due to complex flavors and great after-taste.

This is a great American IPA.

bottle to goblet

Appearance - nice big pillowy head that slowly dissipates but continues to cover the entire surface. solid lacing all the way down. perfect golden amber.

Smell - woodsy, musky perfume with a touch of spice.

Taste - the hops are not overwhelming but pleasant pine freshness and a citrusy finish. nice balance from first sip to the finish.

Mouthfeel - medium to heavy mouthfeel. has a nice chew on it but the mouth doesn't feel coated afterward. just a touch of carbonation

Overall - nice solid IPA. nothing spectacular but pleasant and highly drinkable.
