The beautiful smell of chocolate really defines this stout. The head was a dark tannish tint.

The flavor of the beer came across with a full chocolate flavor, yet it was able to maintain a sense of mildness in the finish. An interesting paradox in the realm of aesthetics. There is a slight hint of coffee as well, somewhat reminiscent of a mocha latte...milky smooth, bitter but not overpowering. Also, I get a slight alcohol taste, a nice touch to round out the characteristics of this brew.

I'd say that this is a complex yet polite stout. It would make a most excellent choice for a dessert beer with its pleasant, "chocolate cake" after taste.
