A: The beer is clear garnet in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high dense beige colored head that died down rather quickly, leaving a patch of bubbles in the center and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Sweet aromas of brown bread with raisins are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the overall taste is rather malty and slightly sweet with flavors of brown bread and dark fruits along with some notes of caramel and nutty malts. There are no traces of bitterness from the underlying hops but there's enough of them to keep this from being overly sweet.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and rather smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite drinkable compared to other beers in the style because it isn't as full-bodied and filling and no traces of alcohol are perceptible in the taste.

A - I assume this is only a few months old since I got no sediment, a rocky fully inch of opaque colored head, and a nice deep clear brown beer.
S - Some mild grain skunk and fairly sweet oaky dark fruit goodness. I love some sweet dopplebock's
T - Not bad it has a good amount of caramel malt, some chocolate and a hint of dark fruits. Simply, tasty, well hidden ABV.
M - Has a mild grainy hint which I assume is skunkness from the bottle but other than that it's fairly smooth and medium bodied.
Overall I got this on discount from $3.50 (paid 2 dollars) and I was pleasantly surprised of it's smooth light flavors and well hidden ABV. A very solid dopplebock.

Green bottle! What the hey.
Malt forward with soft melanoidins and a quiet toast character. Soft fruit too. Solid start.
Very clear and a nice copper/red color. Smallish darkish head that settles out quickly, but it does leave some dipping lacing that disappear in short order.
Fruitiness on the flavor, yum. Soft melanoidins again and the same with toast. No hops to speak of. Moderate drying. Alcohol is subdued in flavor but creates a warmness in the gut.
A little bigger than moderate in feel, but the low carbonation provides a creaminess and softness.
A good standard doppelbock. Quite rich, really. The flavors and good and the richness pushes a slower drinking experience.

Very nice traditional authentic German doppelbock. All about the malt, this beer is from the brewery/city that claims to have invented Bock beer....
Has a nice head, but it goes away fairly quickly... No hops at all in the aroma--all dark caramel malt. Thick, almost syrupy mouthfeel... A deep, rich, smooth, rather profound taste. Reminds me of Paulaner Salvator or Ayinger Celebrator...but, sadly with no "__ator" suffix.
Definitely a fine beer, not to be missed by German beer connoisseurs.

Appearance: From a unique green bottle is a deep amber colored beer with not much head.
Aroma: Figs, brown bread, raisins, light toffee notes, grape, faint banana.
Taste: Heavy malts in the front, raisins, traces of molasses, figs, dark bread, floral hop but mostly a malty backbone. The finish does have a light smokiness.
Notes: It's very drinkable a good one to warm up with. Cheers.

From: John's Grocery, Iowa City, IA
Date: Code Number L1269434K19 stamped on label
Glass: Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock glass
Einbecker's doppelbock features rich malt sweetness and modest bittering European hops, with a leaning towards caramel sweetness. A solidly enjoyable all-around doppelbock in the typically balanced, but leaning-towards-caramel-sweetness of several German versions of the style. One I'd get again.
Pours a 1cm head of medium tan foam, made up of small bubbles, that has below average retention, gradually decreasing to a thin ring around the glass. Lacing is nonexistent, with some spiderwebs and smaller constellations of spots elsewhere. Body is a transparent ruby-brown color, with slightly active carbonation visible, stemming from the bottom of the glass.
The aroma is sweet, but well-balanced by the substantial bready component that lends a neutral and yeasty component to the beer. Individual scents of sweet toffee and caramel, a bit of brown sugar, deep brown European breads, and slight ethanol.
Overall, flavor is sweet and rich with caramel, heavy bread, and a bit of bittering hops and ethanol in the background. Opens with some brown sugar sweetness and sweet caramel flavors, Mid-palate features heavy malts with rich brown breads, caramel, and subtle noble hop bitterness. Back of palate picks up continued caramel flavors, heavy malt sweetness, rich brown bread, and modest noble hop bitterness. Aftertaste of European hop bitterness and lesser residual caramel-like sweetness.
The beer is medium to medium-heavy bodied, with medium to medium-low amounts of carbonation, leading to a slightly carbonated, though primarily smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel. Finish is expectedly dry.

S-malt, dark fruit, spices, hints of sweetness

F-medium body with light to moderate carbonation, smooth
O-a decent doppelbock with good blend of flavors, but a little on the sweet side for me

Not sure of the age on this thing. Came in a variety pack from a distributor that they made up of close to out of code stuff and breakers. Considering it's summer, i'm sure this ones not a breaker so i'm guessing it's got some age. But as a 7.5% doppelbock, should be good.
Clear deep amber hue with a 1 finger off white head. Nice roasted burnt molasses nose. Deep cooked fruit jams. Strawberries, figs, blackberries, raisins. Melted caramel. Intense nose.
Lighter in body then expected and really clean. Well blended and concise flavors. Chocolate and caramel with dark spiced and sugared fruits. Touch of alcohol. Roasted malt prominent throughout. Pretty nice. Maybe its the age but this doppelbock is pretty damn good! Bit boozey for 7.5% though. Would work very well in the winter though, however maybe you should age it a bit.

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a medium to dark red-orange amber. Slight head that dissipates immediately. Aroma dominated by sweet malt and a hint of light and dark fruit. Flavor is also sweet and caramel malt with dark fruit and slight nuttines. Finishes sweet with a light hop kick. The initial taste seems to have active carbonation, but quickly ends in a flat, but syrupy mouth feel that is more in line with the low carbonation appearance. A pleasant bock that is compromised by lack of carbonation.
