Tasted by half-pint at my local JDW pub, the Half Moon, East End London.
A: comes bright pale copper in colour, with great clarity; a very thick and tight creamy beige beer head sustains superbly throughout the drink, leaving tight lacing and on top of very low carbonation. Looking absolutely fresh and nice!
S: sour-sweet fruitiness (dried dates and ripe plums) dominates the nose upfront, backed by a caramely malty undernote and a mixed hop profile (incl. both Goldings and Fuggles I suspect)--smelling fresh and smooth.
T: a wave of Fuggles-like tea-leafy, aromatic woody and burned grassy bitter-sweetness deluges the palate, followed by restrained fruity hint of dried citrus-peels plus a bitter-sweet edge of lightly-kilned malts... intensifying hoppyness lingers in the finish but doesn't overpower in any sense, leaving a quite chewy bitter aftertaste of hops.
M&D: softly carbonated, very soothing on the mouthfeel; nicely balanced b/w leafy hops and fruity malts. Overall, a tasty and relatively complex premium bitter to enjoy! I feel so lucky to have bumped into it in such great condition~~
